"So I'm really happy you decided to walk with us! I wanted to talk to you some more!" Garland said brightly, smiling wide. Her voice was so cheery it nearly made Lucas forget the situation he was in currently. After Science class, Lucas booked it from the room, trying to put as much distance from Nameless as he could. He hated the fact that this guy scared him. Lucas had never been scared of anyone like this in his life before. Usually it was him who scared people. He clenched his jaw as he stared down at his feet, mentally kicking himself. Later on as Lucas was walking to Biology he happened to run into Nameless again. Thankfully Garland was with him (this time on top of his head, lying on her stomach; how she didn't fall off, he had no idea) and his right eye was covered, so Lucas didn't feel the weird choking feeling that wrapped around his body. Apparently they both had Biology in the exact same room as him. Yay.

Garland being the cutesy little midget she is, invited him to walk with them. Lucas was extremely tempted to say no, but Garland had given him the biggest puppy eyes he had ever seen, making him cave. So now he was walking beside the one person in the entire school he wanted to avoid. "Hey," Nameless's icy voice hissed. "Uh-what?" Lucas turned his head so fast he might of given himself whiplash. Nameless was staring at him, expression blank and- slightly aloof? "She asked you a question. Answer her." That was yet another thing Lucas didn't understand. Nameless seemed to be the scariest person/demon/thing in existence, but Garland acted like he was her best friend. And as if to make things even more confusing, Nameless seemed not to mind. For a split second Lucas wondered if he was overreacting to Nameless, but as he walked down the halls and up the stairs, he couldn't help but notice everyone clearly giving him a wide berth, keeping their heads down and lips sealed shut.

So it isn't just me. Well that's good. At least I know that I'm not just being an over dramatic weirdo. "Sorry what?" He asked. Garland repeated her question. "You'll have lunch with us right?" "Uh. . ." Again, Lucas was tempted to say no, but by the look Nameless was giving him, he didn't really have a choice. "Yeah ok." Garland's smile was so wide, Lucas couldn't help but smile himself. Three minutes later, they arrived to their destination. Lucas immediately wanted to turn around and walk right out as soon as he saw what they were meant to be doing. Rat carcasses were arranged on top of the desks, shiny silver tools displayed besides them. To make matters even worse, the rats were the biggest, ugliest, and creepiest rats he's ever seen. Some of them were completely hairless while others had only a few mangy clumps clinging to their bodies.

Lucas covered his mouth and tried his best not to hurl. Apparently health and safety codes weren't a thing here. Who knew what kind of diseases these things carried. "Oh dear," I voice said tiredly. Lucas glanced over to Garland. She didn't look to happy either.
Lucas held in a groan and took a seat at the desk with the smallest rat he could find. When everyone was settled, Mr. Greg walked in. He was the closest thing to a werewolf Lucas could describe, except he wore a flannel shirt and jeans. "Ok class," He huffed, positioning himself to the front of the class. "Today we will be experimenting with some rats." Some of the class groaned while others whispered excitedly to each other, but all fell silent when Mr. Greg let out a low growl. "You have all been given some tools to help aide your experiment. I suggest you all turn to pages 28 and 29 in your biology books. No letting your experiment attack your classmate. Good luck."

Lucas stared down at his rat, it's dead eyes staring back. Sorry rat. I really don't wanna touch you. Believe me. Sighing, he pulled out his book, picked up a scalpel and delicately sliced open it's stomach. Gagging, he looked away and turned to pages 28 and 29. Skimming over the directions, he bit his lip and winced. Ow. Right. Fangs. Gotta remember I have those. He picked up a small vile contained what looked like black sand. Curious, he poured a bit onto the rat. To his surprise, the tiny black grains began moving and seemed to be burying itself into the rats flesh. Less then a minute later the body began to twitch. AW HELL NO HELL NO HELL NO HELL NO!! He thought frantically, looking around at his classmates. None of them seemed to be paying him any mind, all too observed in their own experiments. Suddenly, several long dark worms popping out of the rat, each of them squirming violently. Lucas yelped and slammed his book down on top of them. He wasn't sure if it was the body or the worms that he heard go "Squish". He shuddered and carefully lifted up the book. The worms were dead thankfully, but the back of his book had worm guts on it. Oops. He thought as he looked at it in disgust. Sorry mom. Looks like I'm going to need a new one, cause there's no way I'm using this. Setting the book aside, he quietly decided that that was enough biology for today.
