Chapter One: KAPALIT.
"Ysaaaaaa! OH MY GOTCH! AS IN OH MY GOTCH TALAGA!"
Sigaw ng kapatid at pinsan ko habang niyuyugyog ako.
"Ano bang meron? Nakakahiya kayo, pinagtitinginan tayo dito oh," iritableng tugon ko sa dalawa.
"Ysaaaaa! May ipapalit ka na kay Rev!"
I smiled a little because of what they said. Hoping na sana nga, kaya ko na.
"Huh? Bakit? May pogi?" Curiosity hit me. Minsan lang mapogian sa lalaki tong dalawang ito.
"OO, ROBYN YSABELLE! And take note, hindi sya scholar! It means mayaman siya!" sabi nila habang tumatawa ng malakas. And when I say malakas. MALAKAS talaga. Nakakahiya, anak ng penguin naman oh.
It's my first day nga pala in college (ay ang conyo. pasensya na. hihi) and I got a 100% scholarship in my school! Isn't it amazing? Isn't it surprising? Isn't it... ay ewan. Di ko na alam kasunod na line. Sorry Kim Chiu! Peace tayo!
Dahil sa scholarship na iyon, I had to attend the "scholars' orientation".
After the scholars' orientation, my mom and I went to the nearby mall to eat lunch.
Mejo nakaka-drain din yung orientation... The talk was long and there were many rules and regulations to follow. Eating it out is the best option to relieve the stressful feeling.
My mom was smiling and laughing with them. It's funny how my mom enjoys this conversation, knowing how much we argued about having Rev Kristian as my boyfriend. She didn't like the idea of me having a boyfriend at an early age. Pinag laban ko lang talaga. Pero sa totoo lang, hindi ko naman talaga naging boyfriend si Rev, but it's another story for another time.
Out of curiosity, I asked them what the guy looks like and I kinda laughed at their description.
"He was wearing a polo. Pag-pasok niya ng school, para siyang artista, ateng! After niya tanggalin yung shades niya, he looked so handsome! And we immediately thought of you. Batchmate mo siya, ateng! Makikita mo siya mamaya sa Freshmen Orientation. Tell us your feedback! Sabihin mo kung swipe left or swipe right!" Loko loko talaga tong pinsan ko. Ginawa pang Tinder and Freshmen Orientation ko.
Pero honestly, nakakatuwa kasi super excited sila for me. Maybe they are excited because I will be able to forget Rev as I enter this college. Makikita na ulit nila akong ngumiti at sumaya. Miss na siguro nila yung Ysa na life of the party, family clown, at komedyante na kaibigan.
"Oh nak, check the time. Baka Freshmen Orientation na. Do I still have to go with you?" tanong ni mama sa akin.
"Nah. No need, ma. You can go home na. I'll go with ate Ygritte and Kem sa school," and I kissed her goodbye.
We were talking about the guy on our way back to the school. They were really excited na makita ko yung guy. Pag-dating namin sa school, we immediately went to the auditorium...
Then nakangiti nilang tinuro yung guy...
