"I'll take the chicken Alfredo, with a... Do you wanna go halves on a Cesar?" Aph asked in the middle of her order. I nodded and Aph turned back to the server, "And we'll do a Cesar salad on the side please." She smiled as she handed her menu to the server, who nodded and took off to put our order in.
I took a sip of my strawberry margarita, the tequila making my throat warm as I swallowed. "Okay so, you were saying, the professor..." I prompted for Aph to continue her story.
"Oh, right! So the professor, starts climbing over the seats, everyone is staring at him and he gets like all up next to the kid who was sleeping and just starts scream singing the words some emo song." Aph continued through her laughs, I started laughing with her. Both of us sipping down our drinks.
"Oh my Irene dude! Ugh remember how all the teachers in high school were like, collage is going to be very professional no funny business!" I mocked, Aph rolled her eyes as we laughed.
"Why were they all so uptight?" Aph buried her face in her hands. I shook my head. The laughter died down as the waiter brought over some drinks, we looked at the waiter with confusion. "Oh I'm sorry we didn't order these." Aph tried to reject the drinks, although we hadn't ordered them, they were the same as what we were currently drinking.
"Curtesy of the table over there." The server pointed to a couple of guys sat across the walkway in a booth, both of them staring intently at us.
"Oh, thank you." I waved at the guys and shrugged at Aph. "Well, well, well." I smiled at her.
"I should borrow your dress more often." She winked, taking a sip of her drink, I laughed and did the same. Finishing off my first drink and moving to the second. "Oh, they're coming over." Aph whispered to me, instinctively we both moved our drinks away from men walking over, our hands resting on top of the glasses.
"Evening ladies." The taller of the two started, he had fluffy blond hair and deep brown eyes. Aph and I shared a look, she wasn't interested but could tell that I thought the other man was cute. "Dining alone today?" He continued.
"Oh, no we're actually waiting for her boyfriend." I pointed at Aph, looking the shorter one up and down, he had dark brown hair and hazel eyes.
"But you're alone?" The brown haired one asked, he had a confident smirk. "I'm Xander by the way." He extended his hand out to me. "This is my friend Garrett." He pointed. I looked to Aphmau who smirked and quirked an eyebrow up at me subtly.
"(Y/n), this is my friend Aphmau." I introduced ourselves. "And I'm single if that's what you're asking." I added, shaking Xander's hand. The sever stepped up to the men.
"Gentlemen, your food is served." The server smiled before walking away.
"Well, we'll let you ladies get back to it." Garrett spoke, stepping back to his table.
"Would you mind if I got your number?" Xander held out his phone to me with a new contact open on the screen, I looked to Aph, who widened her eyes encouragingly. I took the phone gingerly in my hands, typing in my number and my name. "Thank you, enjoy your dinner ladies." He smiled before walking away.
Aph and I squealed at each other quietly. "Oh my Irene!" She exclaimed. "He's cute." She whispered. My phone buzzed against the wooden table. I read the text before showing it to Aphmau. It was a simple 'Hey, it's Xander.' I looked over to him as he put away his phone, a handsome smile across his face.

Aph and I had finally gotten back to my place and were stumbling inside. "I'm crashing here." Aphmau declared, falling onto my couch. I laughed as I locked my front door.
"Obviously. Come on, upstairs." I pulled her up by her arms. Leading her up my stairs and to my room, plopping her onto my bed. "Irene, you're a light weight." I groaned as Aphmau giggled, "At least you're a happy drunk." I pulled out some pajamas. "Here, get changed." I handed her the clothes and she sat up, reaching behind her to attempt to unzip the dress. Attempt being the keyword in this situation.
"Can you get the zip please?" Aphmau whined and I pulled the zip down for her. Helping her get into the pjs, she pulled the covers over herself and curled up in bed. "Night night." She whispered and quickly fell asleep. I sighed and made my way out of the room, turning off the light behind me.
I made my way down the stairs and into the kitchen. Grabbing a bottle of water and stepping out onto my front porch. I sat with the light off and looked out onto the deserted street.
"Hey." Zane's voice came from the sidewalk leading up to my porch.
"Hey?" My tone giving more surprise than I was meaning. "Whatcha doing out here?" I asked, Zane stepping up my stairs and planting himself just at the end of the stairs.
"Night patrol. I don't really sleep around this time of night." Zane shrugged, I nodded to the chair opposite of me. He walked over and sat down next to me, "What about you? You look really nice for just sitting on your porch." Zane motioned to my dress. I looked down and realized he was right, I look very fancy for just sitting out here by myself.
"Oh." I laughed slightly, "Aph and I got dinner, she's passed out in my room. I just wasn't ready for bed just yet." I cracked open my water and took a healthy gulp.
"Oh that sounds like fun." Zane's eyes crinkled with a smile at me. I nodded.
"It was, Aph is fun to hang out with." I smiled, picking at the label on my bottle of water. "How was your day?" I changed the subject, tinges of awkwardness filled the air around us.
"It was good, did some laundry and stuff." Zane shrugged, not sounding very enthusiastic.
"Hey, me too!" I smiled at the commonality. There was a pause in conversation, Zane slapped his hands onto his knees before standing.
"I have to finish my route, good talking to you though. Have a good night (Y/n)." Zane waved and quickly made his way down to the main sidewalk.
"You too!" I shouted out. Taking it as my cue to go inside and head to bed.
