Harry.

Harry saw her while getting coffee in the cafeteria at the hospital. He had been there to see a young girl, Austin was her name- with cancer. It was her last couple of months. It was her last wish to meet Harry Styles, so he granted it.

But he saw the girl sitting in the corner with a nurse, blonde hair in a bun, unknown-color of eyes staring at a plate of food in front of her.

Harry could tell the nurse next to no-name was getting angry with her.

“Three bites, that’s all they are asking,” Harry noticed that the blonde looked up and stuck her tongue out at the nurse.

“I already took three bites, let me go back to my room.” Harry couldn’t stop his heart beat at her voice.

Harry had never believed in ‘love at first sight,’ it was all a silly cliché. Something to keep people on the edge of their seats.

“I’m going to restroom, when I get back I want that food eaten off of, I know you haven’t eaten any of it.” And like that the nurse walked away. Harry watched until she was out of sight.

Harry knew that the nurse was hiding behind the window/door. He had seen this before, she was watching to make sure she ate. Harry didn’t think before he walked over to the girl, taking a seat next to her.

The girl curled into herself, which made Harry feel slightly self-conscious about. Harry looked at the blonde, her eyes were blue. Almost like the shade of ice. It made something in Harry go cold.

“I’m Harry.” Harry’s throat caught but luckily he was able to play it off. The blonde picked up her fork and moved a pea around her plate, still not looking up from her death stare with the food.

“I understand why you won’t eat- For a second Harry had caught the girls’ attention, or so he thought. Seconds later she stopped turning her head, she was too close to looking at him.- I was in the hospital once, the foods gross.”

Harry slapped himself a crossed the face in his thoughts. He was sure the girl thought he was crazy. Harry looked up to see the nurse, looking intently to see if no-name would eat.

“What’s your name?” Harry dared ask. He was a bit nervous to know the girl’s name because he knew that once he knew it, he would never stop thinking about it.

“Chelsey- spelt with a ‘y’.” Harry watched her. He didn’t speak for a long time because he was processing how beautiful her name was.

“Let’s make a bet.” This caught Chelsey’s attention. Harry high-fived himself in his thoughts this time. Chelsey a lighter glare on now. Almost like she didn’t hate Harry as much as she hated the mashed potatoes and peas.

“I bet you, a date to an award show, that you can’t take three bites.” Chelsey rolled her eyes and looked down.

“I don’t think award show tickets are anything special. Too many cameras, too public,” and Harry was back to slapping himself.

“Fine, I bet you a day, just one day, in the most beautiful, most private place I know of, that you won’t take those three bites, .” Harry watched Chelsey closely. She was thinking about it. He had the perfect private place to take her.

The girl picked up her fork. Scooped up some mashed potatoes, and placed them in her mouth. She swallowed it even slower. Harry looked up to the nurse who looked glad she had finally gotten Chelsey to eat something. When really it was Harry that had done it.

“I have to go for now, I am here visiting someone, but later tonight, expect to see me, also you better eat that whole plate, because I will be asking your nurse.” Harry patted Chelsey on the back, and gave a curt nod to the nurse.

When he returned to Austin’s room she was asleep. White, pale, brown eyes clothes, bald head touching the pillow, peaceful sleep. So Harry sat down in the chair next to her bed and grabbed Austin’s hand.

“I don’t know what you did, but thank you.” With that Harry laid his head down, right next to his and let his eyes close. Before he drifted off he heard a faint whisper.

“I didn’t do anything, but welcome.”
