When you left work, you were shocked to see a text from your friend Chris saying, “Have you heard from Ricky? None of us can reach him.”
Ricky was your best friend and you talk to him almost everyday, but after hearing from Chris, you realized you haven’t heard from Ricky the past 2 days. As his best friend, you knew he had suffered from depression back in high school, and you knew he has tendencies to slip back into it for acouple days.
Instead of going home, you went to the store and got ice cream, popcorn, andALOTof candy. In your car, you already have a stash of movies stored for times like these.
You drove to Ricky’s house and saw his car in the driveway. You looked up to his window and saw him move the curtain away. You just held up the ice cream and movies and watched him disappear. By the time you got to the front door, he was a;ready standing there waiting for you.
"Chris and the guys are worried about you."
"I know, I listen to the voicemails."
"Are you okay?"
"Not really, Jessica and I finally broke up," he said retreating into his house. You followed him into the kitchen.
"Is it because of what people have been saying about the two of you?" You saked knowing they had been having problems due to so called "creatures."
"Yea, she didn’t want to deal with it anymore so she left."
"Everything will be better over time. I think she will come back, she just needs to think."
"You are most likely right. Let’s watch a movie," Ricky said grabbing the bag of candy and movies and going into the living room.
After watching 3 movies, and eating all the candy and ice cream you brought, Ricky turned to look at you.
"(Y/N), you know you are my best friend right?"
"Your my best friend too. I know if I were in this position, you would do the same thing for me."
"Ofcourse I would," he said giving you a hug.
"So are you feeling better now?"
"Yes, the candy helped alot."
