Moving to Scranton was your new beginning. You didn’t know anyone and better yet, no one knew you. You could be someone new. Sure you would never completely change who you are, but you can be what you’ve always wanted to be.
As you walked down a street near your new apartment, you found a tattoo shop. You always wanted a tattoo, but never had the money. Back home though you always hung around the shop one of your friends worked at. That made you pretty experienced in shop management, so when you say that the shop was looking for a new manager, you went in to apply.
Who you met inside though, will forever change your life. You had been a fan of motionless on white since you entered high school. Their music and things they posted on tumblr and twitter have saved your life on many occasions. So seeing them inside the tattoo parlor seemed like fate.
"Here for a tattoo?" One of the artists asked you.
“Actually I noticed you needed a new shop manager,”
“Do you have experience?”
“I spent months helping as a shop manager where I used to live, but was never officially hired.”
“I guess we can do a trial run, can you be here tomorrow around noon?”
“Of course”
“Great see you then.”
When you walked outside you lit a cigarette and tried to decide where to go next. After acouple minutes the shop door opened and Ricky walked out.
“Nasty habit you know, you seem to young to get addicted.”
“I’m 20 and I know it’s a bad habit, but you shouldn’t really be talking should you,” you said when he lit a cigarette.
“Very true. I’m Ricky”
“I know, I’m a fan of motionless. My names (Y/N).”
“How long have you been in Scranton?”
“About a week.”
“Let me show you around then”
“Okay”Ricky brought you everywhere. When it started to get late he even walked you home. You traded numbers and made land to hang out again soon, this time with the rest of the guys.
After acouple weeks you and Ricky had become great friends, you even told each other almost everything. You got the job at the tattoo shop and he comes in a lot to see you, of course he is also friends with most of the artists so they don’t care if he comes in.
“You know (Y/N), you are one of my best friends. You were a fan of motionless but you still treated me like a human not someone famous.”
“Your my best friend too, I’m able to be myself and you don’t hate me for it.”
“I’ll always be your best friend.”
Ricky gave you a hug and walked you home.
“Good night ill see you soon.” He said before walking back to his house. You had only lived in Scranton for acouple months now and your biggest hero is also your best friend. You went to sleep unable to wait for the next day, but when you woke up it had all been a dream. It was still just the second day you had been living in Scranton and you still didn’t know anyone.
