I laid in Ricky’s arms on his couch as we watched “Interview with a Vampire” for about the hundreth time. It’s my favorite movie and it pisses Ricky off cause he hates Lestate with a burning passion.
"why do we watch this movie all the time?"
"cause secretely I love Luois more then you, I didn’t know how to break it to you, I’m sorry it had to be this way," I said joking around with him.
He looked at me, a fake hurt look on his face. “Thats okay, I had a thing for Claudia anyways.” I just looked at him like ‘really?!’
"she’s like 9! That’s disgusting! Why am I with you?"
"should of listened to your parents, I’m a terrible human being," he said jokingly, but I could sense he was also kind of hurt by it. When my parents first met Ricky, they were against our relationship from the start. They said he was a menice to sociaty, Satan worshiper, drug addict, and a terribly human being. That was all before he said a word to them. They judged him solely on his looks and the fact that he was in a band. Also him being almost 24 and I being 19 didn’t help. That was about 2 years ago, and they don’t know we are still together. They think we haven’t seen each other since that night.
"I wish you could remeet my parents. I want them to approve of you. Especailly now that we’re engaged." yeah that’s right, we are engaged!
"I know, but after last time. I don’t think there is going to be a different reaction." he said trying to comfort me. I just curled into his side more and sighed. "if it means so much to you though, you could invite them over for dinner or something."
"do you know how much I love you?"
"I thought you loved the dude in the movie?"
"yea but he’s to old for me now so I gotta settle for you."
*
"MOM! DAD!" I screamed out entering my parents house.
"what is it (Y/N)? Why must you always scream?!"
"sorry dad, but this is kind of important." they both looked at me, then each other, then took a seat and looked at me again. "remember the guy I was seeing a few years ago?"
"the Satan worshipping drug addict?"
"he’s not a Satan worshipping drug addict! But yea him. Well I’m still with him technically, and we are engaged."
"no!" my dad screamed out. I knew he would be the stubborn one.
"dad please hear me out."
"no (y/n)! He’s not good enough for you. He can’t support you, he’s most likely been cheating on you this whole time, and he’s just not good enough."
"you don’t even know him though! You met him once and didn’t even talk to him!"
"I didn’t need to! I just had to look at him to know he’s not good enough. He would never be able to buy you things you want, or even be there for you, he will just leave with his band."
"I don’t need him to buy me things. I don’t want him too! And he has offered to bring me with him and his band for about 10 tours. I love him and i’m marrying him!" I stood up to leave when my mother finally spoke up.
"I want to meet him again." I was "shocked. "Our daughter obviously loves this boy and we need to respect that."
"thanks mom. ricky wanted to invite you both over for dinner."
"we’ll go."

"ricky stop messing around! My parents will be here any minute!" I squelled as he picked me up and spun me around.
"your just to cute though!"
"put me down before the food burns!"
"it’s no where near done."
When he finally put me down, the door bell rang. I froze like a dear in the headlights. Ricky wiped flour across my face and ran to open the door.
"hello Mr. and Mrs. (y/n), please come in."
"hello Richard." my father said ignoring ricky’s outstretched hand.
"mom. Dad. Dinners not done yet, but please come have a drink."
"richard, I hope you know (y/n) is our only daughter and we do not want her to get hurt."
"yes sir I know, and I have no intention on hurting her." ricky said standing behind me, placing his hands on my shoulders.
"I’m going to check on the food. There is wine in the kitchen," I said before running away. Ricky followed but my parents looked around his house.
"you seem stressed."
"all I want is for them to accept you, it’s been 2 years." he just held my hands and stared at me.
"your so beautiful."
"your so corny! Stop being like that!"
"that’s no fun. This is funner!" he said picking me up again.
"why do you like picking me up?!" I said in between laughs.
"cause you get mad when I do this!" he responded while wiping more flour across my nose and dipping me in his arms and kissing me.
"okay that was very romantic." my mother said in the door way. "would either of you like a glass of wine?" she offered.
"neither of us drink actually," ricky answered.
"really? That’s good, it can be a nasty habbit."

"well Richard, I can see how much (y/n) loves you, and how much you love our daughter. So if you still want to get married, you have our blessing," my father actually said!
"thank you daddy!" I screamed jumping up and hugging him.
"just please no kids for atleast another year or two!"
"DAD!"
