Origin: Daemor Waters took the surname Tarlahrys at the age of fifteen, after having been knighted and having received lands and a Valyrian steel sword from his father, King Aegon I Targaryen. During the Dance of Dragons however, they aided Queen Rhaenyra in her quest to rule. They were taken hostage before casted out to The North in exile by Aegon II Targaryen where Lord Cregan Stark gave them Old Castle to rule over as faithful banner men to House Stark.
Side notes: Like Queen Rhaenyra, they believe the oldest is the heir to the throne/Lordship. Due to this tradition, when a female is the heir her husband must take the Tarlahrys name to become Lord alongside her. They also carry the tradition that a woman should be well trained in the use of weapons and armor like the Mormonts. They are some of the last to expertly craft Valyrian steel.
