He looked at me like I was an angel

And he decided, he was the devil

I touched him and wings sprouted on his back

But you see love is what we really lack.

We danced in our own darkness where we stayed

I'm perfect to him like he was to me

We agreed that it is always a "we"

But little did we know we have been played.

Darling by now you should've realize

I know the dark lies behind your two eyes

We are nowhere near wretched or divine

W e are only mislead by some thorn vine.

We sang a tune sorrowful and just wrong

It had become our own perfect love song

So proud of love when all it was is fake

Sweetheart all it had done to us is take.

What would it take to make you realize?

This would lead to our very own demise

We fled away from our own dreadful past

Honey I ponder, how long will we last?
