I never understood why the called it
'falling in love'.
What love something that you
could really be in?
And if so
how do you fall?
Does it catch you off guard
and push you in?
Or maybe you jump
all on your own. When I met you
(which seems like
ages ago)
I was wondering how
I could love anyone at alland then it happened.
We sat
air drying in the mid-afternoon sun,
the same sun that reflected
perfectly off the water,
as well as your golden hair.
The feeling of our fingers
intertwined together and
the smile on your lips
as you talked about the future,
all seems like fantasy when I
think back to it.I still don't understand why they call it
'falling in love'.
You're not pushed
and you don't jump.
You're simply
there,
lost in the feeling
with nothing but yourselvesI may never understand why they call it
'falling in love'
but I know that
I've fallen in love
with you.
