After dinner it was about 5:00 pm. My brother wanted to go back. "Great!" I said.
I was walking around when I saw her again... In the road... I ran to her my ear buds falling out of my ears a car was right behind her but I grabbed her just in time. I hugged her and told her everything would be alright.
She cried in my shoulder for about twelve minutes before telling me her name.
"Rose." She said still sobbing.
"Rose do you know where your mother is...we're gonna get you home okay." I cried. It was too much for me. She was beautiful and deserved care.
"I don't know where my mommy is." She cried. "She...threw me out the door, telling me to go play... S..s..she....I'm lost." She told me her voice was muffled because she was burring her face in my shoulder.
I took her with me to the walk back to my house holding my hand the whole way. My brother looked at me weird asking who was attached to my hand.
I told him not to worry about it and continue playing.
When I got home her on my shoulders now, I took her inside.
"Mom... I found this girl playing in the road.. She's lost." I told her.
"She can stay in your room for a while... We'll figure something out." She said looking at the little girl.
I took her to my room we sat on my bed and I hugged her. To know she's loved and always welcome here.
When it was time to get David I took Rose. I loved her like my own child.
David was still confused I explained it to him. Also adding "We might have a new member in the family." I said smiling.
Authors note: The girl being in the road made me want to cry so badly. And her being attached to Kate was so heart warming. I love little girls they're so cute!!! If I were in Kate's position I would be begging my mom that she could be mine. Telling her I'll do chores for money, and take care of her and buy her clothes. And pretty much anything she wants (I would spoil her 😉) I mean my friend gave me a job for thirty dollars a week so that should help. I would be so Happy if I had a daughter. Even though I'm really young.
