After Lou is done explaining, she flops down on the couch.

"Now we wait. It shouldn't be too long before the boys are in here." She glances at her phone, which is on her lap. "The photographer usually takes a few minutes to explain what they'll be doing."

As if right on cue, all five of them burst in the door, chuckling at an unknown thing.

Lou pops up to greet them. I do the same, standing from the chair I was perched on.

"So, do you guys know Claire?" Lou gestures to me.

Liam is first to reply. "Yup, we had dinner last night." That leads to a smirk from Niall. He's probably thinking about why we were late.

Guys always assume stupid things.

"So who's first?" I ask. It's an open question. Just as I think nobody will answer, Louis approaches me.

"I'll go first," he announces. "Let's get this over with."

I giggle. "You act like it's painful."

This earns a scoff from him but he slouches down into the chair anyway.

I open the 'Louis' bag, and find only a few items in it. He notices this too and gives a thankful chuckle.

After I've finished slathering foundation on his face, I simply fill in his eyebrows and conceal a few zits. Then he's done. Personally, I think he looks better without the makeup. More manly. But it's not up to me.

Once all the boys makeup is done, someone comes in and tells us how to style their hair.

Before that though, she introduces herself.

"Hello!" She greets all of us before turning to me. "You must be Claire." She smiles, clutching a small clipboard in her perfectly manicured hands. "I'm Rebecca. Becca for short. I work for Simon. My job is to inform you of anything Simon needs and to help him with anything, too. So basically, I'm his assistant."

Her smile falters a little on the word 'assistant' but then she walks over to the boys.

"So basically, boys, today we are taking photos for a magazine, but they won't necessarily be used for anything. Okay?"

They all nod. They're probably thinking the same thing I am- what's the point of doing a photoshoot if the photos necessarily won't be used? The people paying for it must bathe themselves in money.

She turns back to Lou and I.

"For hair, we want kind of a messy, carefree look. Gelled a little bit."

"Simple enough," Lou shrugs.

After Becca leaves, we get to work on their hair. It's harder than I thought it would be, but still easy enough.

Once we've done everybody's hair, we wait for a few minutes, lounging on the couches and watching the TV. Becca comes in after ten minutes.

"They're ready for you," she beams. Everyone follows her out the door and through the maze of hallways. Once we end up in the large room for the photo shoot, the boys take their place in front of the camera and Lou and I plop down on a fluffy couch nearby.

They begin with the photos. I find my eyelids getting heavy, probably due to the awakening I had early this morning. I glance over at Lou to see what she is doing. She looks bored out of her mind, scrolling through things on her phone.

I do all I can to not fall asleep, but in the end my efforts prove useless, as I drift off into a peaceful sleep, dreaming of home.
