She Starts To Remember....
Kalei's POV
I wake up from yet another nap, feeling exhausted. Over the past few weeks, all I did was rest, constantly being swarmed by doctors, people, and the person who called himself Jake....
It suddenly hits me.
My fingers clasp around the necklace studded with emerald diamonds and the word 'Kalei' engraved inside an intricate heart.
Jake.
Memories start flooding back- small, uneven pieces... But they are memories.
One memory is extremely clear....
A short period of time....
A suspicious event at someone named Jessie's house....
And Jake's face.
I bolt upright, breaking a couple chords and strings in the process.
"Jake!" I yell, and doctors come rushing in.
The heart monitor starts beeping frantically.
"She disassembled the chord to her oxygen!"
One doctor yells, seeming worried.
I suddenly can't breathe.
My heart stops; literally.
And the world went black.
