A/N - I'm back!!!! Sorry I took so long... Although 2 days is hardly anything. It's mostly my freak friends that won't stop buggin me about it. The usual. I guess I'll just have to get use to it!! Much love xx
Sierra's P.O.V.
"Hey guys! What's u-" I broke off once I saw their faces. "What's going on?"
Nothing. They all avoided eye contact with me. "Where's Rose?" I asked, suddenly concerned. "What happened?!"
"Er, well, Haley showed up," said Liam, breaking the silence.
"And....?" I prompted.
"And she told us her... History..... And Rose heard her and then there was a lot of screaming and then she started crying and ran out of the room," he replied nervously.
"Which way did she go?" I demanded. "Through the front or back?!"
"Back," said Niall, looking concerned. "Want me to come too?"
"No. She needs a girl talk," I replied. The last thing I needed was a boy to make things awkward.
"Your going out like that?" asked Harry in disbelief. I looked down at myself. No makeup, hair loose an wet from my shower, t-shirt, and spandex.
"Yup. Gotta problem with that?" I asked, not waiting for an answer as I slipped on a pair of Rose's flip flops and ran out the back door.
"Don't do anything stupid; stay right where you are!" I shouted at them as I sprinted away. I knew exactly where Rose was. She always went to the same place when she gets upset... A little garden by the town library. Hardly anyone ever goes in it; the perfect place to sob your heart out.
Rose's P.O.V.
I sat down on my favorite bench in the garden and let the tears flow freely. After a minute or so I stopped. Everything about it here was calming. The sweet scent of lilacs and lavender, the shady trees, the hum of bees all around you. I sighed and rubbed my eyes, smearing my makeup. Whatever. Who even cares anymore. Not me, that's for sure.
"Rose?!" I heard Sierra shout. Dam, she knew me too well.
"Over here," I responded glumly, just loud enough for her to hear. She turned the corner and sat down next to me.
"Well, here we are," she said.
"I hate Haley," I responded.
"Hmm... Really? Honestly, you should be grateful," she said carefully. I just stared at her in shock.
"Well, now you don't have to worry about telling the boys. It's over and done with. No more horrible, fake explanations. No more stress," she reasoned.
I shrugged. "It still gave her no right to say it," I said, relaxed. This place did that for me.
"All I'm saying is, this only makes it easier for you. And I hardly think the boys are going to suddenly despise you because your parents died in a freak accident and your brother turned to drugs. It happens to loads of people," she concluded. "Why didn't you want to tell them in the first place? Or anyone, for that matter?"
"It's just... If I tell people, they automatically become sympathetic. I'm no longer a normal teenager. I'm 'the girl whose parents died.' And then I get treated differently. It sucks, not being normal," I said, looking at my feet.
"Well, just your luck, cause the boys that are waiting for us at your house are anything but normal as well. Now let's go. I know you too well, you already look happier. Now get off your fat ass and let's go flirt with the world's five hottest boys," she said, winking.
