Ch. 17

A/N - Nothing to say, so just gonna jump right in!

Rose's P.O.V.

"Yes! A million times yes!" I said happily. "But what about Harry?" I asked immediately sobering up.

He sighed. "I don't know. All I'm sure of is you right now," he said kissing my nose, making me feel weak.

"What am I supposed to tell him?" I said sadly. "He's one of my best friends now... I don't want to hurt him."

"Harry will be fine. He rebounds quickly," said Liam, not sounding too sure. My cell buzzed.

r u with liam somewhere? no one knos where u guys r..

To: Sierra :)

shit! srry... im with him tell the guys and hay. thnx!

From: Sierra :)

r u guys on a date???

"Crap! Look! What do I say?" I asked Liam after showing him the text.

"Tell her the truth, but ask her not to tell anyone, that we just went for lunch as friends," he advised.

I typed out the message and bit my lip as I sent the send button.

From: Sierra :)

im not happy about keeping ur secret but fine. i just told the guys. wen will u be back>

To: Sierra :)

no clu. txt u later

From: Sierra :)

kay. have fun.

"What now?" I asked turning to face Liam.

He tucked a strand of hair behind my ear, making me blush. He smiled. "Let's just talk. About everything. I want to know everything about you. Your hopes, dreams, past, present..." he trailed off.

I told him about my past, except I put in all the details. About how close me and my dad were. About how my mom and I loved to shop together, how my brother threw away his entire life for drugs, my single previous boyfriend, how I have no clue what I want my job to be, that I'm going to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo this fall. 

"Now it's your turn. I know close to nothing about you, mister famous," I teased.

After an hour of hearing about Liam's childhood, family, the X Factor, the band, and the overall craziness of his current life, he was finally done. 

But there was one question that was still bothering me. "If you liked me, then why were you so upset last night?" I asked, my curiosity taking over.

"Because, love, I wasn't upset at all that Danielle had dumped me. I was grateful, even, and that freaked me out. It was horrible because I thought I was supposed to feel sad, in tears, but I was just relieved. It was terribly confusing," he said, smiling sadly. "All along, I'd just wanted you, and nobody else."

"That's the sweetest thing I've ever heard," I murmured, and leaned in for a kiss.

Liam's P.O.V.

I sighed. "We should probably go. We don't want the boys to get too suspicious," I said, regretful that I had to leave this spot. Leave the calm and blissfulness of it all.

Rose pouted, looking adorable. "I don't wanna!"

"Aww, I know babe. Me neither. But we have to. C'mon, I'll help you up," I said, reaching for her hands.

I lifted her to her feet and put the folded blanket into the basket. I grabbed the basket with my left hand and Rose's hand in my right, and we set off towards the car.

Rose's P.O.V.

As we got closer to the house, the knot in my stomach grew. I felt like I was about ot throw up. Luckily, the amount of fans had decreased drastically, god knows why.

"Liam... I'm scared to tell them," I said, my voice shaking.

"Shhh, Rose, baby, it'll be alright. I'll be right there with you, promise," he said said, grabbing my hand.

"He's going to be so mad..." I trailed off. "And it's already 4:30! We've been gone for five hours!"

"Rose, it's fine. Who cares what they think. The most important part is that me and you are together and happy." he replied softly.

We pulled into the driveway, my hands shaking, face pale, completely not ready to face them.
