Moving Forward

'I promise Kaa-san, I'll make sure people know my name. I'll make you proud of me, I'm sure I can do so in 8 years!' 

~8 years later~

"Naruto, calm down already!" Sakura yelled as Naruto jumped around at the gate leading out of the village as they were getting ready to leave. "I can't Sakura-chan! I've never left the village before and this means I'm a ninja now!" Naruto exclaimed as he jumped around accidentally bumping into Sasuke. Doing so caused a Kunai to fall out of Naruto's bag. Its tip dug into the ground and started to glow with blue seals. Everything seemed to freeze as Naruto hovered watching with anticipation. After a minute Kakashi coughed, breaking everyone from their trance. Naruto sadly picked up the kunai and returned it to his bag. Team 7 then moved out to deal with their mission to the land of waves with a less energetic blond ninja.

~In an undisclosed office~

A knock was heard on the wooden doors, a white haired female paused in her writing before continuing her paperwork, "Come in." She called softly, soon a male with pale skin and long spiky black hair walked in with a dark wood box. "Hello my wolf," she called lovingly, "What do I owe this visit on?" The male placed down the box before removing his white wolf mask decorated in blue, red and black. "It glowed." The Whitette jumped up and stared wide eye at the male, his red and black eyes showed no lie. Slowly she sat back down, stunned and shocked. "What color?" "Blue." She sighed in relief, "Good, he isn't in any danger. You can leave the box there." "Will you be going?" "Not yet. We have to prepare, now that he is ready." He nodded before he kissed her head and left, putting his mask back on. She just stared at the kunai as a smile worked its way onto her face. 'He's ready... Naruto.'

~~Timeskip~~

Naruto was sent flying away from the pin cushion of a team mate by Haku, dropping his last kunai in the process. As Naruto's consciousness slipped away from him the kunai glowed bright red and soon shadows were dancing through the fight, consuming Zabuza and Haku. A female shaped shadow hovered over Naruto as he stuttered, "K..kaa-san?" Naruto whispered, "Shush now, you have yet to win the fight." The shadow merged with Naruto's own shadow as Gato and his goons showed up. Getting up Naruto and Kakashi sprung into action but were out numbered till the Kyuubi's chakra started to slip out, scaring the goons and gave Gato a heart attack that killed him. As Kakashi was about to knock Naruto out in fear of the 9 tail taking over, the female shaped shadow emerged and stopped the chakra. A moment later the villagers showed up and scared the rest of the goons away.

Team 7 had stopped to camp for the night, Naruto had wandered off from the group wanting to be alone after what they had said to him.

~Earlier~

"Baka, Sasuke should have had the bridge named after him, not an idiot like you!" "Hn, how could they dive a dope like you a bridge and not me an Uchiha elite." Sakura and Sasuke complained non stop while Naruto said nothing. "Naruto will you stop bothering them about how you got a bridge named after you. It's getting annoying to hear them talk about it," Kakashi said from in front of the group with his nose in his book. Naruto just froze, his mouth hanging open, unable to respond.

~Present~

"The bridge was named after me cause I was an inspiration, while Sakura wasn't really doing shit and Sasuke is a selfish asshole of a pin cushion!" Naruto huffed. "Swearing isn't good Naruto, dear." A female voice sounded from behind him. From the shadows a female emerged, her dark purple hair flowing behind her. She got half way to Naruto before he launched himself at her, "Kaa-san! You're here!" He started to cry as he clung onto her. "You can take me away from here now."
