I was sitting on the platform in the middle of the training field one month after we had arrived here. I sat there watching everyone train.

Ryan had just taught everyone some techniques for fighting off multiple werewolves at a time. Now everyone was practicing in groups of five, each person taking a turn to fight the other four in the group.

Ryan, Evan, and the twins were working with each group trying to help them with their techniques and their fighting skills. While Ryan was helping each of the groups, he wanted me to watch each person individually and group each person by their skill level.

Ryan wanted me to group them in three different groups: warriors, fighters, and weaklings. He wanted the warriors to be at the front of the battle and the weaklings to be at the back, the last level of the defense.

It was almost noon and I had just finished watching the last group of people when I saw the shadow of a person in the corner of my eyes. I turned my head to the side to see who it was and to my surprise, I saw Ace standing by me.

I quickly turned my head back to the people training wondering why Ace was standing by me. A few minutes passed with Ace standing beside me and me taking glances at him every few seconds. I didn't understand why he would be here next to me.

I was trying to find the answer to my own question when I felt a weight beside me. I looked over to Ace and saw him sitting on the platform.

He was facing me and staring right at me with an emotion I couldn't place. I tried to figure out what the emotion was but I couldn't so I just shook my head and turn back to the field.

My eyes were looking at everyone but not seeing anything. I was thinking about how much Ace had changed over the past month. I didn't know how but he wasn't the same person I had seen one month ago or even five years ago.

Ace had changed from the heartless alpha that had rejected me. He had become more caring towards his pack members and he had stopped his relationship with Britney.

With the help of Ryan, Ace had become the alpha he was always meant to be. He was caring, strong, and a leader. He was now respected and feared, instead of being seen as a weak and child-like alpha.

Ace wasn't the coward he was before, running away from his problems and responsibilities. He now owned up to his mistakes and he did his alpha duties.

I took a quick glance at Ace, he has changed a lot, especially in his appearance. The five years had done a number on him. He wasn't a child anymore.

His once childish looks had sharpened with time. His once emotion filled eyes and a barely there jawline has turned into a sharp jawline and emotionless eyes. He had even grown taller to a height of 6'2 and with all the training he had been doing, he had become more muscular.

I was snapped out of my thoughts by the devil himself, literally snapped out of my thoughts. Ace was snapping his fingers in front of my face. I turned my face slowly from Ace's fingers to his face.

I heard the snapping stop and I watched as Ace gulped as he saw me glaring at him like I wanted him to turn into a pile of ashes. I stopped glaring at him and I put on an emotionless face just to mess with him.

Ace turned away from me and looked at the field. I kept staring at him wondering what his next move was going to be. I saw the expression on his face change as he finally realized what I was doing.

Ace snapped his head back to me. He glared at me for a second before putting a bored expression on his face. I smirked at him, although he had changed he still needed a lot of work.

He needed to learn how to play mind games with people, especially mind games with other alphas. He also needed to learn how to conceal his expressions and emotions within a fraction of a second.

I saw Ace open his mouth a couple of times to speak, but each time he was about to speak he just ended up closing his mouth all over again. I leaned forward motioning for him to start talking but there were no words coming out of him.

I sighed shaking my head and got up. I started to walk forward to make my way towards Ryan to help him with the training. I wasn't even two steps away before I felt a hand grab mine.

I knew it was Ace from the faint sparks, but instead of turning around I just kept facing the other way watching his pack members. I felt him pull me back and he turned me to face him. I faced him without struggling, wanting to know what he wanted since he wouldn't tell me before.

I was staring into his eyes and I saw a thousand emotions passing those chocolate brown eyes. I watched him having an inner conflict with himself until finally, all I saw in his eyes was determination. That was when he asked me the question that surprised both of us.

"Will you take a walk with me?"
