Chapter 5

I wake up the next morning terrified. I realized it had only been a dream. I stood up and got ready for school. After breakfast, I saw Tara and Ben heading towards me. We walked to school without a word and headed to our classes. At lunch, I sat with Tara and Ben. I told Tara about the dream and she told me that it was creepy. We ate our lunch quietly until the bell ringed. I went to class but I got lost. I finally found the class by the help of Tara. I went inside with Tara and we both have the same class together. The class we take together is social studies and the teachers name is Ms. Clark. I took an empty seat next to Tara and I'm glad we were in the same class. Ms. Clark started to tell us to take our notebooks out. We took notes and I whisper over to Tara. I told her to wait for me after class. We took notes the rest of class. The bell ringed and Tara waited for me. We both head to our next class. I have science and she had math next. I headed to science class and the teacher told us to write notes her name is Ms. Collins. I started to write notes down. I needed to write notes for the lab experiment tomorrow. A couple of hours later the bell rings. I head to lunch and sit next to Tara. Ben was sitting next to her Ben is very caring and very nice. He's outgoing and fun to hang out with. He's wearing a white shirt and blue jeans. His eyes are blue and his hair is black. We all talked for awhile and ate our lunch. I heard the bell ring and threw away my lunch. I head to my next class, which is art class. Alexandria, Amber and Alexa walked in the classroom. Then I saw Tara and Ben head inside. I called them over to sit next to me. Ben and Tara were talking and I could see Tara laughing. They finally headed to my table and once they sat down I could see Ben blushing. I remember Tara telling me how much she liked Ben. At that moment, I knew I Ben must like her too. I could see it in their eyes and how they looked at each other. I decided to be a good friend and hook them up together. I'll tell Ben that Tara likes him but I'll tell him when the time comes. The teacher came inside and told everyone to settle down. The teacher introduced herself as Ms. Price. We took a survey on art and an hour later I heard the bell. School was finally over! My friends and I walked all the way home. The school is close to our house and it's walking distance. When I finally got home, I went up to my room. I grab my notebook, pen, and bracelet. I put on my bracelet and left a note to my mom saying I went to the park. I grab my bike and head to the park. I take the short cut through the woods. I thought of all the good times with my friends. My thoughts got interrupted when I lost balance. I realized I accidentally crashed into someones bike. I saw someone sitting on the ground. It's someone my age and I look away to see who I crashed into. It's a boy and I've never seen him before. I never see his face because he's hunched over. I see that he's hurt and he's bleeding.

"I'm sorry, I should have looked where I was going." I said.

He didn't say anything and I felt bad for what I did. I pick up my bike from the ground and get on. I pick up my notebook and pen, which were next to my bike. I start pedaling and then I hear his voice. I don't turn around all I can hear is his voice.

"It's okay and it's only a scratch." He said shocked. He looks up and he notices it's too late. She's already on her bike and leaving. He notice something shining on the ground and he picks it up. He sees that it's a bracelet and the girl must have dropped it during the crash. He yells at her to wait but she doesn't stop. I kept pedaling and I hear him yelling to wait. His voice is smooth, low pitch, and hypnotic. I had an urge to turn around but I didn't. The boy realized that she wasn't going to come back. He's left standing there holding the girls bracelet. He sees her name on the bracelet and knew her name. He's going to find her again and maybe even see her. I kept pedaling until I got home. I went up to my room and put my notebook and pen in my box. I realized I lost something that meant the world to me. I lost my bracelet that my mom gave me for my birthday. It was a special gift my mom gave me. I decided to cook spaghetti for dinner. After dinner, I head to the park and searched for my bracelet. I had no luck in finding it therefore, I decided to go home. I went upstairs to my room very upset because I couldn't find the bracelet. I laid on my bed and listen to music. I thought about what happen at the park. I thought about the boy and the sound of his voice. It was calming and it made me feel strange inside. It made me feel uncomfortable and I decided to turn off the lights to go to sleep. I wake up at the sound of something hitting my window. I look at my clock and it's 10:00 pm. I look out my window and see my friend Tara outside. I wonder what she's doing here. I went downstairs and walked outside.

"Tara? It's 10:00?" I said.

"Sorry, I woke you up but I couldn't go to sleep and I decided to come." She said.

"It's okay. Do you want to go to the park?" I said. Tara nodded and we walked to the park. Tara told me someone new moved into the neighborhood. I ask her who moved in and she said it's a boy our age. He'll be going to the same high school as us. I ask her if he's a 9th grader, the same grade as us. She says yes and we talked more. When we finally felt tired, we decided to go home. Tara went home and I went upstairs to my room. It's 10:30 pm and I decide to go to sleep. I tried going to sleep but I couldn't stop thinking about the boy. I realize that I forgot to tell Tara about the boy from the park.
