Good day. Or night, perhaps. I'm afraid I don't know what time it is for you, my friend.
I suppose that, since you're here, you're in search of a story, yes?
I believe I can be of some service to you, then. However, since I lack the ability to move myself from place to place, my experience of the world is as limited as that of the girl I love. Our story will not always be happy, and indeed, there is often more dark than there is light.
This is the story of a little girl growing up, and though you know her story as it unfolds now, you don't know how she began. As her fiancé mentioned in a song, she started out so low. I can tell you her beginnings, but I cannot tell you her end.
Maybe I should tell you about myself. I am small, just about a foot long. I have brown eyes and pale, cream colored fur all wrapped up in a hand-made scarf. My best friend is a human girl that I have been with for many years, and I have watched her grow from a small child into the beautiful person she is today. Lily Ward is an extraordinary girl, and I am her rather ordinary companion.
My name is Theodore Bearington, but you, my friend, may call me Theo.
