Note Cards and Misunderstandings

As usual Marinette barley made it to class on time, sitting down right as the bell rang. As she caught her breath from the panicked run Mrs.Bustier begins speaking,

"It's nice to see all of us present on time for once, "

The teachers looks at the bluenette as she walks around to the front of her desk and continues,

"As most of you may remember the commemorative statue in the park dedicated to our very own heroes was destroyed in a vandalism incident last month. So as the city puts up another I thought it would be fitting to write letters to Ladybug and Chat Noir to give them at the new statues placement."

Mrs.Bustier goes back around her desk to pull out lady bug and Chat Noir themed note cards, placing them on her desk she finishes explaining the task

"So today the assignment is to write to one of them about how you appreciate them, you can put it in a general statement or make it more personal if you've had a firsthand incident with them. Just place them back on my desk when you're finished."

Mrs.Bustier sits back down in her chair as she starts to put attendance into the computer. Alya elbows Marinette as others start to get up to get a card.

"At least you're not actually late today" Alya chuckles before getting up herself.

Marinette lets out a heavy breath and chuckles a bit herself before standing up herself getting in line behind Adrien, Nino, and Alya who followed the rest of the class for a note card. As she stands there her mind starts to fade away thinking to last nights akuma attack that had kept her up so late. Marinette comes back to earth as Alya waves her hand in front of Maris face, a smirk on her own.

"You know ," Alya whispers. ,"Adrien might be oblivious so some things but I'm not sure hes not gonna question why you're staring at him."

Marinette squeals realizing her zoned out eyes were placed on Adrien and he was giving her a slightly concerned look. Her face turns a cherry red as she quickly looks away laughing nervously. Alya gives her a small smile as she sighs.

"What would you do without me girl?" Alya says her hand pushing her own hair behind her ear and a smile remaining on her lips.

Marinette shrugs, "Probably fall into a pit of never ending embarrassing moments." she giggles .

As the friends slowly make there way to the front of the line Alya grabs the last piece of Ladybug themed paper. Works out for Marinette as the never intended to write herself a letter as she goes to grab a Chat Noir themed one her hands collide with another small pair.

"oh, sorry." Marinette says retracting her hand, looking at her classmate. "glad to see I'm not the only Chat Noir fan. " Marinette says with a smile to the girl.

The girl just shrugs, "I'm not really, there's just no more ladybug paper left." she grabs a Chat Noir themed card and makes her way back to her seat.

Marinette now feeling a bit sour at the girl sits down at her own seat and works on her note to Chat Noir.

"Figures She'd prefer the stray sidekick over the actual superhero." Chloe says loudly to Sabrina, obviously wanting to be heard. Sabrina laughs as usual along with Chloe.

Usually Marinette would refrain from giving Chloe the response she begs for but something felt different this time, she couldn't help herself.

"You know he's not a sidekick Chloe," She starts off with, "Without him Ladybug wouldn't be able to defeat anyone."

"pfft- " Chloe pretends she had to hold back laughter. " Without him ladybug could just do it quicker, Chat Noir cant even help get rid of those nasty bug things, whatever they are." Chloe dramatically rolls her eyes.
