JOSH'S POV

"Keon, meet Levi Jameson and Harper Ophelia."

"Ophelia, that's not exactly something you hear everyday"

"Adira picked it because of Shakespeare's Hamlet, while I liked it because it's the name of a moon. I'm not sure if I mentioned this but I kind of obsessed with astronomy "

"I think I may of heard about that once or twice"

"Yeah, it's a moon of Uranus, actually." I stand there and watch him try to hold in his laughter. Eventually, he breaks. "Ha, I knew you couldn't do it!"

"You know that you can't say something like that without me laughing"

"God, you're a five year old"

"You know it," Keon winks. There's a moment of silence, and then Keon continues. "Is it weird? Having kids, I mean. It's not like it was completely unexpected, but one day you were just Josh, and now your... dad." There was another moment of silence as I stood in thought.

"No, I don't think it is. Even before Adira got pregnant, I knew it was going to happen. But it's weird to know that I have these kids that are come 'wired' to love me, and I've done nothing to deserve them. They're a day old and I just know they're going to grow up to be something amazing, and yet I've done nothing to deserve them."

"C'mon man," Keon hits my arm, "you're great. You're a nice guy. You do everything you can to be there for Adira. You're going to be a great dad, I just know it. In fact, you already are."

"Well, yeah, I know you're an esteemed psychic and all, so you must be right."

"I like to think my career as a psychic single handedly supports this family. We both laugh and then there's more of that silence that seems to be there a lot.

"Hey, that reminds me, we have to get a job if we move here." If you move out of state, and live near family members able to help, then the government doesn't support you quite as much financially.

"True. We'll figure it out though. Although we do have to actually find a house because there's definitely not enough room for you, Adira, and the twins to be at Stephanie's. And, even though I love her dearly, I don't want to live with my sister forever."

"When Adira wakes up maybe we can look for some houses online"

"Good idea. Until then, you need to get some rest" he puts both his hands on my shoulders and pushes me down into an arm chair.

"Why?"

"Because you got almost no sleep when Adira was unconscious, and now it's rare you'll be getting any sleep with two newborn babies. So sleep."

"Okay, okay. I'll make sure to get some sleep"

"Now"

"When did you become so bossy? Look, I'm going to sleep. But, I'm afraid I can't sleep with you standing over me, so shoo." I usher him away with my hand

"Fine. I'll be in the cafeteria if you need me"

"Sure thing man"

When Keon walks out of the room I yawn. Oh, maybe I really am tired. I guess he's right. And with that, I soon drift off to sleep.

I wake with a start. Jesus, what is that noise? Rubbing my eyes, I slowly realize that it's the babies crying. As I look over, I see Adira cradling Levi.

"Oh, look, daddy's up" she whispers, pointing to me

"Yeah. So how're you feeling"

"Tired. I know I slept a while, but I'm still really tired"

"Hey, no biggie. As long as you're okay, and the twins are okay, I'm okay"

"Well you won't be okay if you don't start being helpful"

"Oh, right," I say, scratching the back of my head. I pick up Harper and begin rocking her along to the rhythm of the song Adira's started singing. "Hey there baby girl. It's me, daddy."
She looked at me wide eyed and, what I'd like to say is smiling. "I think she likes me," I raise my head to Adira now.

"Of course she does, you're already a great dad. You know, I think one day she's gonna have you wrapped around her finger. She might already"

"I think you may be right"
