A/N- this is a waay late for anybody who read this when it first came out, but for any new readers if it was confusing, I'm explaining it in this quick note bc I recently realized I forgot to explain it in a later chapter. Pregnancy > mood changes. The presence she felt was her Mom. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks for reading and enjoy! 🖤

Keon still hasn't been back, not that I've let him. It's been lonely the past week, no Keon, twins, Josh busy (a lot), and an interesting feeling to cry about in my free time. Which was almost all the time.

Josh was finally home for a bit "Well, what do you think?" I had just finished explaining the moment with the picture and everything. He opened his mouth about to answer when the doorbell rang. We had to stop cuddling on the couch to allow me to open the door. When I opened the door a woman stood in front of me, she wore a red pencil skirt, a fancy black shirt, a red blazer, and a yellow scarf. "Are you Adira?" she asks "Yes" I say hesitantly. She hands me an envelope with two pictures in it, one has two little girls in and the other has a a baby sitting on a woman's lap. I recognize one of the girls as my mother when she was young and the baby as me when I was only about one and a half. "I'm your aunt, Stephanie" she says, I realize that she does look a lot like my mom and I remember great times with her. I then hug her and begin to cry. "Your mother called me a few months ago saying that she wants me to take you to my home in New York City for a while if she dies of the plague" she says in a bit of a southern accent. "Well I guess I'll start packing" Josh says walking upstairs. "Is he nice to you cause he sure is cute" she says. I giggle and hug her and invite her to sit down.

ONE HOUR LATER

All packed and ready to go we're standing in the door way when "Wait" I say running upstairs to my bedroom. I shove three things in my carry-on and meet them back in the car.

We stood in the line for the baggage check at the airport. It was just as busy as the week after the plague came back because everyone was leaving to go somewhere safer. I guess we just added to the numbers. After waiting for about an hour we finally boarded the plane. We sit next to each other me in the middle "This is gonna be a long ride" Josh says putting his hand on my stomach.
