"I think that was the best nap of my life. Thanks again, aunt Steph"

"Oh no problem sweetie. Now, we need to get you ready"

"ready for what?"

"Nothing... let's just say that um. Oh well. Come on now, we've got to get a move on or else you'll be late."

"Uh, okay then"

Anxious for what 'nothing' could mean, I follow her to her bedroom, and then into the en-suite.

"You, take a bath. Come get me when you're done and we'll get started," Stephanie says, obviously trying to contain some sort of feeling. I probably take too long a bath but I deserve it. After my first few days of being a mother, soaking in the warm bath was just what I needed. It was relaxing and luxuriating and I felt better about what could be coming ahead of me tonight.

After drying off an wrapping a towel around me, I set off to search for Stephanie. I don't have to look for long seeing as she was waiting on the bed for me. "Oh! You're done. Good. Okay, now let's figure out what you're wearing. Something nice. I know you don't have very many clothes here, but that's okay, I'm sure you can fit into something of mine."

Despite my many hesitations about wearing it, we settle on a loose fitting black dress. I'm sure I'd look much better in a tighter dress, but I'm silently grateful that she isn't trying to squeeze me into a little black dress when I had twins only a few days ago.

She did, however, make me let her do my makeup. Stephanie wants to go for a dramatic smokey eye but I insist we do something a but more toned down. Of course, being who she is, and in the way my mother surely would've done, she says I'll have to let her do my hair if she can't do dramatic makeup. Around an hour later I have soft bouncy curls hanging a little past my shoulders.

"Okay, now call an Uber and take this address. Love you, bye Sweetie, have fun!" Handing me a folded over piece of paper and giving me a peck on the cheek she pushes me out the door.

I'm slightly nervous as to what is happening right now but I trust her and the longer I stand here the more I'll overthink things.

The Uber pulls up to a restaurant called Comida Fantasía, which looks almost too fancy and expensive for me to even look at. I double check to make sure I'm at the right address, and sure enough I am.

"Hey so um, is this the right place?" The driver asks, most likely because I've just been staring at Comida Fantasía through the window. "Ha? Oh yeah, sorry. This is the place. Thank you"

I walk into the restaurant and it's as if the smell of perfumes, colognes, and gourmet food mix all into one, along with the scent of expensive alcohol. I walk up to the front desk, not even sure what I'm going to say. As I walk I try to put on my best I-totally-know-what-I'm-doing face, and just hope and pray that it works.

"Hi there, what can I do for you tonight? Do you have a reservation?"

My oh-so-confident face falters for a minute but I quickly fix it.

"Oh um right. Fauxgard?" She eyed me curiously for a moment before deciding I was trustworthy enough. She looks down at a list, saying "Fauxgard" every once and a while under her breath while looking for the name.

"Aha, here it is!" She says it with a look of self-admiration as if she's proud of herself for finding the name. "Right this way Miss, please follow me." I follow her, nervously fidgeting with my hands the whole way to the table. I get slightly more confused, if that's even possible, as we pass all the tables. To add more confusion we even go through red silk curtains until we finally arrive at our destination. "I understand we're waiting on one more person. Go ahead and take a seat while you review your menu. Your server will be with you shortly." "Thank you."

I sit with the menu open but not really reading it seeing as I can't really focus on anything right now. I hear a set of footsteps and am slightly disappointed to see it's only my server. "Hello there. Welcome to Comida Fantasía. My name is Chris, I'll be your server tonight. Can I start you off with any refreshments?"

"I'll just have water please"

"Okay I'll be right back"

"Thank you"

Around five minutes later, after Chris brought me water, I was sipping slowly as I heard some more steps. Silently praying it wasn't Chris, and that all my questions will be answered, I look up. Josh was walking over to the table with a huge smile on his face.

"Hey there beautiful."

"Hey yourself."

"So I'm sorry I'm late."

"Well, I've managed to stay alive this long. So you-uh, you want to fill me in on what's happening?"

"Sure, but let's order first, yeah? Yeah."

As if on cue, Chris came up to take our order. Not too long later, his steak and my salad showed up. The food looked more gourmet than I originally imagined, and judging by the restaurant, I assumed it was pretty gourmet.

"We have our food now, can you tell me what's going on?"

"Yeah. Uhhh. You see, I just love you so much, and like I know that we're meant to be so..." As he's talking, Josh begins to stand up, and eventually gets down on one knee. "I know that we've already had two children together and all but I figured, better late than never." Suddenly, his nervous smile went away as he pulled out a small box. "Will you marry me?" He opens up the box to show the most beautiful ring I've ever seen, meanwhile I'm crying and probably look ugly with my eyeliner running down my face.

"Yes"

Clapping erupts and I look over to see that the curtain's been opened and everyone at the restaurant is looking at us with big grins on their faces.

Hey Guys, so I originally had a different plan for how he'd propose but then I decided to change a few things in the story that I originally had planned. Also, according to Google Translate anyways, Comida Fantasía is 'fancy food' in Galician, which I believe is a language spoken in a part of Spain (according to Google). I didn't know what to name the restaurant and that sounded "pretty" even though it only means 'fancy food'. So the next chapter will most likely be the epilogue but I may add one more chapter before that. Thanks for reading. I know I haven't been very good about updating this book, and I read the book this is based off years ago and I eventually just lost interest. I did however want to finish the book so I hope the epilogue will leave it off at a good place and I can start writing something new that I'm more interested in..
