APPLYFIC TIPS for starter & authors

START ;
so basically, an applyfic, or short form 'af' is where you can apply to have your character in the story.

MUST ;
first thing is, you'll need to read all the rules and regulations to understand what the applyfic author needs. the basic rules will mainly be give the author a follow, adding the story into library and reading list and tag friends.

▪  ▪  FOR BEGINNER ▪  ▪

FOLLOWING ;
it's optional to follow but the author will be really happy seeing you follow, plus if the author themselves publish stories frequently, you'll get a notification if you follow them ;) for example me lmao.

LIBRARY OR READING LIST ;
if you wanna keep on updates of the book, adding it to your library will be a must. erm, don't tell me you don't know how to add into library lmao. but for reading list, you can always create one specially for your fav book or other categories. just click the + button beside and it'll redirect you to the reading list. or click on the book in your library for a few seconds and it'll pop out a few options. just click add to reading list.

TAG FRIENDS ;
OKAY SO quite a few people commented that they have no friends to tag im just- yet i believe there will be people interested so just try tagging some people ya'all follow and etc

FORMS ;
there must be a form required to fill in to apply for the applyfic. the author will have their own ways of accepting forms such as comment the whole form below, through pm, pastebin link or google docs. please follow what they want!

commenting form
you can just fill in everything in the form and comment under the comment section.

through pm
also, fill in the form but this time is personal message the whole form to the author

pastebin link
for pastebin, please go to pastebin.com you don't need to have any account and could just use it. it works like a notepad, just type or paste in your form on the blank space and submit. then copy the link and send it to the author

google docs
i'm not sure how this works since i never really use this before. but it actually just works like pastebin. some people could not access to pastebin so google docs will be their way of writing forms.

BE NICE ;
this is actually a common sense in here so-

CHARACTERS ;
some of the applyfic will have slots that has their personality and other info provided, as an applicant, you must follow them. you can't say that you apply for a slot that has a dark personality but when you write you write it as a cute girl just NO-

PASSWORD ;
so some of the password might be hard to guess but i'm pretty sure the author will be nice enough to give you some hints if you pm them and ask

BASIC THINGS ;
have things like adding into library, some guides on characters make sure to mention no perfect character be nice even if they didn't get chosen BUT FIRST YOU MUST BE NICE TOO.

NEAT LAYOUT ;
PLEASE DONT USE EMOJI ESPECIALLY COLOURED ONE LIKE 💓🎵 BECAUSE THEY ARE WEIRD AND CHILDISH I MEAN IT. i really dislike this layout so yeah-

HAVE PATIENCE ;
trust me, writing a story is hard, writing an af is even harder. especially when you're waiting for people to apply for your af.

BELIEVE IN YOUR OWN AF ;
if you yourself dislike the things you write, i have no idea how you gonna continue with it. plus, writing stories need mood and ideas.

SLOTS ;
when i started with af, there are some authors that don't have slots. meaning the applicants will need to write their own character. this is big fuss as you don't know where the plotlines will go. with slots that are written down, at least you got the whole plotlines in mind :-)

**** PAIRING ;
THIS IS JUST BASED ON ME.

me as an applyfic author, i usually write the slots ( girls ) and paired them up with a boy means the applicants couldn't choose the love interest. if slot A's love interest is mingyu, slot B's is the8. and the applicants like mingyu but likes slot B. then it's either they go for love interest mingyu but slot A or choose slot B but love interest the8.

PASSWORD ;
make sure the password is not easy yet not that hard to figure out. and if someone really couldn't get it and they pm-ed you, just give them some hints! it won't hurt at all.
