Damien's POV

'Stupid! stupid! stupid!' I mentally kicked myself while I thought. How could I lose control like that? This wouldn't have happened if I hadn't drunk too much at the party.

Watching Hailey dance so close with Daniel then so intimately with that fucker Jake, just pissed me off. The urge to pull her away from them was there and it didn't help watching her look so clueless to what they and every male here were doing when they were near her. I don't know why this made me so mad but how can someone be so naive? How could she not sense every guy in there eye raping her? Sometimes I feel she knows it and she admires the attention they give her.

'Urgh!' it just makes my blood boil thinking about it. Tiffany -the girl I was with at the party was good for a few hours but I couldn't help resist the urge to be near Hailey especially in that dress. That damn dress was my undoing, it wasn't meant to look like that on her. She caught me off guard in that and there was something that just pulled me to her that night. I had to stay away from her but she was always in plane sight and who wouldn't be able to spot her when she looked like that!

Then to make it worse she goes and defies the simple rules I gave her. Those rules were to keep her line so it would reduce my problems of babysitting her but she went against every rule I'd set. The smug look Jake had as he twirled and dipped her was like he was showing everyone there he could get close to her, and the sight of her bare leg peeking from the slit increasing his fucking lustful gaze made me want to rip him apart. When I thought things wouldn't get any worse, she goes and talks to Maxwell. That ass sings like a canary when he's wasted and luckily she doesn't know that otherwise she would have put up a fight to hear more of what he was talking about. Although, I have this unsettling feeling that this isn't going to be the last time they cross paths.

From the time I'd left the house, I've been drowning my thoughts in cheap booze at this local pub. I still can't believe I almost raped her! Well, technically we're married but it was going to be without consent and that I do not do. Even this much alcohol isn't getting me drunker than how the feel of her skin did. When her fist connected with my jaw sort of sobered me up and 'boy can she throw a punch' I mentally said as I rubbed my jaw.

Also as I was positioned at her entrance ready to take her, it dawned on me that she was still a virgin 'coz I wasn't able to enter and she punched me just before I could've taken her. I remember all the crude remarks I would give her like 'slut' and 'whore' when all this time she never lied. It would be lie if I said that I never got physically attracted to Hailey because to be honest who wouldn't. She caught my eye from the first time I met her and her being around me 24/7 wasn't helping that's why I had my release with other women and it made it better when it affected her. I wouldn't give her the satisfaction of knowing the affect she has on me.
