10 ways to fall out of love

Chapter 2: unexpected surprises and sandwiches.

Week 1- stop staring at him every chance you get.

Ok, this is going to be so easy.

Ha, not. I have just started and I can't take my eyes off him already. I officially feel like a failure. I should just give up now. Not go on. Just move to Antarctica where I can't bother anyone, have my head bitten off by those evil little creatures called penguins.  Nahh, I can't do that, Allie would kill me, more than the penguins would.

(Evil little buggers.)

I caught Cameron's eye and smiled at him, my face calm as he smiled back but really inside I was freaking out.

Oh no he saw me staring at him. Oh god, he's going to think I'm a freak. Crap. Just look away now Bella. Look away ..... now. Ok now. Oh bloody hell NOW.

I looked away at Allie who was sitting on the other side of me in the car, giving me that whole 'are you serious' look. So I just gave her my 'shut the hell up' face.

My parents were driving us to catch the train to our boarding school, Brightday Academy. I think that it's weird how our school has to all meet up and then catch a train to school. I guess it's like catching a bus, but easier. I think its because they don't need to hire like ten different buses just to take us. It would just be really hard. Well for me it would be. But then again, I am really lazy so yeah maybe it's just me.

We pulled up at the train station and instead of seeing everyone near the station platform, our school was waiting by the bus stop area. I looked over at Cameron and Allie as if to say 'what is going on?', but they just looked at me with the same look.

We walked over to where the principle was standing, as she started to explain what was going on.

"Hello everyone, welcome. Now I'm sure you'll all wondering why we are near the bus station and not the train station. Well it's because this year there has been a sort of malfunction with the train so we are taking the buses. Now I will please ask you all to head to the the bus with your year level on it." said principle Hale.

Ok so we got here and are now catching a bus to our school, not the train. Does the world like to make me look stupid?

I walked back over to my car and got my suitcase out of the car boot. I turned to say goodbye to parents.

"Bye dad see you next holidays," I said giving him a hug.

I turned towards my mum and said, "Bye mum, don't worry I'm going to be fine." I smiled at her and hugged her.

Yes! She's not going to cry. Yay, maybe this year I won't be so embarrassed that I look like a flaming tomato.

I pulled away smiling to myself as I started to walk to the buses.

"BELLAAA. DON'T GO!" I heard my mum wail. She ran up to me and latched herself onto my arm.

Shit, spoke to soon.

"It's ok mum," I said patting her head awkwardly.

I could see some kids starting to stare already.

"BUT I'LL MISS YOU!" she yelled in my ear. Well actually it sounded more like, 'UT I ISS YOUB.' which is really quite sad.

I mouthed to my dad 'H E L P  M E,' before anyone else could come and watch this delightful show of my mum being a psycho. Dad nodded to me and walked over.

"Ok Payton, let's go or she'll miss her bus," dad said and grabbed hold of mum tightly, pulling her off my arm.

She smiled and let dad take her back to the car. I smiled as they walked away. No matter how much my mum embarrasses me I still love her but I will never, I repeat never, get used to that.
