Laila is acting like a child since I told her that we are going to doctors , right now we are in the car and she is continuously moving her other leg. she is so anxious that it makes me laugh.
"relax , Laila doctor won't cut you open"
"shut up Harry, thats not funny"
"just trying to reduce the tension"
we reached the hospital and I parked the car at the back, Lailas eyes examining the hospital building when I helped her getting outside , we reached the receptionist.
"An appointment, for Laila Dove ......... I think the doctor is Adams something" I said really being confused for a moment , I forgot the doctors name, receptionist was giggling with amazement, I mean whats so funny about it, while Laila give me a are you serious look.
"what ?!!" Laila just rolled her eyes .
"Its straight 307 " receptionist smiled at me , when we reached his office I saw a man around 30 with glasses on the chair examining some paper .
"I am Harry, she is my friend Laila , we have an appointment "
"Oh yes, Laila Dove, please sit down, do you want your friend to stay with you" She looked at me with puppy dog eyes , "Will you stay?"
"of course"
"okay Laila I am going to check the injury , just relax"
Doctor started poking around her leg and she shut her eyes tight , with one hand clutching my t-shirt, "You know if you'll be the good kid , I'll take you for ice cream later"
She broke into the fits of laughter , " Miss Dove if you'll move that much I won't be able to look at it properly"
"sorry doc"
"It don't look like anything serious , a bit of swelling , usually ligament rapture turn blue and its not definitely a fracture so I am gonna tie a bandage and write down a few medicines "
"thanks doctor" I said with a smile, we took the medicines from the medical and left .
In the car Laila suddenly turned to me and said " So , you promised me something"
"what?"
"Ice cream"
"when?"
"you said If I'll be a good kid you will buy me a ice cream"
"seriously Laila"
"I'll scream , if you don't buy me ice cream right now I am gonna scream"
"huh?"
she inhale through her mouth , paused for a moment and then started screaming on the top of her lungs , I applied break suddenly and covered her mouth with both of my hands.
"are you crazy?!!" she started licking my hands , but it didn't affect me, "Alright I'll buy you ice cream, but no screaming"
we stopped at Naturals , when I was getting out of car she took my hand "Don't you think its better if I go and get the ice cream ,we don't wanna get mobbed again "I nodded , she is kinda right this time.
she returned with one coffee walnut and a coconut flavor, as soon as she got in the car she attacked her ice cream.
"Hey I want coffee walnut"
"I am sorry , I thought of you more as a coconut guy" with our little argument and spilling of ice cream in our car , we got back home, Laila went upstairs for change , and I waited in the kitchen when I suddenly got reminded of one thing , police officer asked me to contact him when Laila got better , I think it would be okay if I called him tomorrow. Right now I gotta take care of something else.
