Chapter 4

Sobbing for countless hours is easy, waking up after a good cry is always the hardest. Opening her eyes she could feel the damage done as she peels her sore eyes open and flinches at the harsh afternoon light hitting her. Looking around her room she finds a clock and realises she had been in her room for most of the day. 

Slowly she raises her body and swings her legs over the covers and onto the floor, her feet touching the slightly cold carpet. Rubbing her forehead with a groan as a headache starts to form she stands up, stretching her muscles and heads for the door. A decent act of what a human would do is take a shower or at least freshen up but what's the point if all she gets is disrespect. Let the dogs smell her, maybe it would be enough to let her go. Good thing she didn't shave any part of her. 

Opening the door and looking both ways, she steps out of the room and heads towards whats she would assume to be the kitchen. The least these dogs could do is feed her was her thoughts as she continued her journey to the smell of heaven. As she approaches she reaches her hand towards the handle before voices sound out, halting her movements. Freezing, she presses her ear against the door to earsdrop on whoever was inside.

"Amanda baby please stop stressing, I'm sure Lilly is fine." Immediately Lilly cringes as the werewolf's voice is the first to sound out. Rolling her eyes on how stupid he sounds with the endearments she leans her head even closer to hear Amanda's response.

"I'm sorry Jordan," As Amanda's voice pierces the air Lilly could tell she was hugging the werewolf by her muffled voice, resisting the urge to sigh in amusement and frustration she continues to listen in, "Lilly said I wasn't her mother and that you weren't her father. What's going on is someone giving her trouble?" The urge to laugh was now present at the stupidity of this situation and her mothers opinion.

Maybe they brainwashed her? That was make a lot more sense because this whole conversation turned from 'sob story' into 'what the fuck just happened'.

The wolf's growl tore her thoughts away from herself as she reminds herself she needs to keep listening but not be seen or heard, "No one will harm our daughter! The only men she Is allowed around is her mate and myself , who she will soon find especially if I have something to say about it." 

Lilly couldn't believe what she was hearing, firstly she will not find a mate, she would escape long before any of these monsters believe thats she is theirs and second how stupid can they be? Ever since the monsters came out of hiding she has had barely any contact with anyone other than the few people that come to the cafe, other than that the only contact she has had with anyone is Amanda and that bonehead werewolf. Maybe she can ask some vampires if they can kill him?

She hears  Amanda sigh and she scolds herself to pay attention and that when she is fully alone she can plot ways to kill this wolf. Amanda's voice floats through the air,"you know best". The kitchen becomes deadly quiet after that, Lilly was unsure whether they were making out but then again there would be some noise,"Jordan? Why are you sniffing the air?" Amanda asks the wolf.

Lilly's eyes widen, shit! Werewolves can bloody smell people. Damn they would have made good pets if they weren't so strong. She could imagine having one, a giant one that would obey and stay outside all day. Lilly, keep your head together and step back quietly. One step back, another step back, hey maybe she could get away- oof! Lilly felt the pain before her mind registered what was happening, a hard strong back was her wall and she was suddenly held down in position before she could smell the wolf's breath.
