"Pride, Ego and Dignity. Different words but screams the same definition."
*****
'Pride'
According to Meriam Webster Dictionary, it is a feeling that you respect yourself and deserve to be respected by other people.'Ego'
It is a part of the mind that senses and adapts to the real world.'Dignity'
It is the quality of being worthy of honor or respect.Did you notice something? They all screams for self-respect. All are words that will make you reflect on what you did.
One thing is they are all words that don't want to be step on.
Who would want to be step on?
None.
None because we all need to have our own space and respect even if to ourselves. We all need that reserved space for ourselves. We all need that reserved slot so that we can put ourselves in priority when the time comes. When we don't think that we're worthy of our own self-respect.
They all scream for respect.
One thing is for sure. When either of the three was step on, embarassment takes place.
And now, all of the three was lost and nothing to be found.
Why?
Because it's for their sake. It's always for their sake.
Pride is always blamed whenever there was an argument. Why? Why do they need to blame it on pride?
Pride did not do anything bad at all. It just indicates that your respect in your self has been stepped on. It means that you crossed the line where you shouldn't have in the first place.
Pride is not always wrong. Sometimes, it is our alarm that sets off when someone had crossed over it.
Ego is not always bad. Sometimes, it's the thing that reminds us that we are self-worthy.
Dignity is not always scarred. Sometimes, it is the one who makes us proud of ourselves even when no one notice you.
And again, it's for their sake.
I gave up all of those for their sake.
I feel ashamed. Embarassed. Harassed.
I felt like a dog who barks when the owner said so. A dog who obeys what's its owner command it to do.
Nothing is really exciting in my life. It's all the boring talk and so so.
Sometimes, I want to prove myself that I have worth. That I can also do what they can do. That I can also do something that not anyone can do.
I want to make them feel how ashamed I am to every step they do in order to get what they want.
Nothing is left for me. Nothing.
