Warning: This is a filler.

Nola grins happily as she watches Tony place a tally mark under her name on the whiteboard. "Congratulations, Nola. Your first article has been published," Tony says in a monotone voice, sitting down in his chair and immediately losing interest.

Taking that as a dismissal, Nola and Colin both get up and leave the room together. "Thanks for sending me that video to use," she smiles softly at Colin. This time, he'd given her the video as well so that Tony couldn't pick an article based off of the media content.

"Whatever," Colin mutters before walking off, bumping his shoulder against hers as he passed her.

Nola shrugs and walks towards Kenna's office. She understood Colin's reaction since she had been in his position just two days ago, when her article had been rejected, but she was too happy about her article to feel bad for him.

She walked into Kenna's office and frowned when she saw that Kenna wasn't there. Nola would've sworn on her life that she saw Kenna walking into her office just about three minutes ago.

Instead, Nola shrugs again and walks into the break room, getting a cup of coffee. She puts in spoonful after spoonful of sugar to attempt to make it less bitter, when she starts hearing a soft, rhythmic thud against one of the walls. She immediately stops stirring her coffee, listening closer to hear where it was coming from.

She finds herself walking out of the room, going to one of the supply closets right next to the break room. She reaches for the doorknob but finds herself freezing with her hand on the handle when she hears a few quiet moans. She let go quickly and took a few steps back, staring at the door in bewilderment. She'd heard of people having sex in supply closets but only in movies. She didn't think it happened in real life.

While she was trying to process this, she was just standing outside the supply closet and staring at it. She was suddenly knocked out of her thoughts when the door opened, revealing Colin with his hair and clothes disheveled.

"Nola?" Colin asks with wide eyes, surprised to see her standing right outside. He quickly shuts the door behind him before the person he was with could get out, and then fixes his hair and the buttons on his shirt.

"Oh my god," Nola laughs, shaking her head a little as she watches him. "Of course. You're the only one disgusting enough to have sex at work!" She whispers loudly, so she wouldn't attract attention.

"I'm disgusting?" Colin scoffs, his voice also low. "Sex is normal, Nola. You're the disgusting pervert who stood out here and listened!"

"I was not listening," Nola immediately defends, her cheeks turning into a bright pink. "This is so gross. I can't even look at you," she rubs her face and goes back into the break room, grabbing her coffee before walking back to her office.

She sat down at her desk and stared at her coffee, wondering why she thought Colin looked so sexy with his hair messed up and his shirt unbuttoned. She didn't want to think of him that way when he could be a racist jerk, but it seems like her heart (and something down south) just weren't listening to her mind.

She naturally glanced up when Kenna walked by her office and gave a wave and smile before walking into hers. Nola gave a small smile in return, not really up for talking to her at that moment.

Before she could think of Colin's chest anymore, Nola was forced to look at her laptop when it made a sound to alert her of an important email. She opened it up, biting her lip as she read the email from Tony.

"Perfect timing," she sighs and leans back in her chair.

"An personal article in sex and relationships? I've totally got this," Colin smirks at Nola, leaning against the doorframe to her office. "Do you?"

Like I said at the beginning, this is a filler. I'm sorry it's starting off so slow but I promise I have more things planned.

By the way, does anyone watch The Bold Type? I love it so far.
