I turn the door knob slowly afraid and excited into stepping to the real world
I hear my mom sobbing behind me and still begging me to stay with her
She even tried to push me away from the door but she lost hope of ever stopping me from reaching something that made me patient for four years
When the door finally opened and revealed the outside beauty
I notice the black car waiting for me at the doorway
I stumble across the grass and feel the air welcomed by my body
It is quite chilly today that I shiver a little but it is worth it
The air calm my whole body
I inhale it through my nose and I didn't think a second that this beauty could hurt me
I wrap my sweater tightly and walk over the car
I look around me to acknowledge what the world had became
The streets were empty
The only thing the naked eye could see is the wind running by
There is signs everywhere emphasizing
everything happening
There is no sound, no moan
Nothing
It is strange , weird
Houses are torn apart
Buildings became abandoned
Cars are left on the streets
Stolen or probably broken
It's chaos
What if maybe I would be able to make this street at least alive again?
I walk over the car slowly
I hoped someone would pop out of the car so that I could make sure it was the right one
But someone anonymous rolled down the windows
She wore some expensive black glasses that covered most of her face
Her blond hair was brushed perfectly to the side and probably pulled into a bun
She held one of her hands and pulled her glasses down to look at me from knees to face
She then opened her mouth to speak
"Miss lark?" She asked sounding formal
"Y-yes ma'am" I said looking at the ground
"Get in " she said waving with her hand
The moment I looked up, the windows were already closed
I open the car door and slide into the seat next to the pretty woman
She pushed her black glasses and then took the phone out of her pocket
Dialed a number so quickly with her thin fingers
"She's with me" she said looking into the window
"Yes , yes I understand " I heard her say
She hung up and signed
I hope she doesn't notice me staring
The car was already moving the moment I sat down
I felt the woman's gaze on me
My chest started rising and falling with nervousness
" I heard a lot about you" the woman spoke pretty confidently
I nodded as she kept speaking
"I'm sorry I didn't truly introduce myself "
She smiled almost forced
"My name is Jessica ross" she said extending her hands
I shaked them reminding myself to keep breathing
"My -my name is.." I trailed off and she noticed
"Arrow lark, you don't have to remind me your name" she laughed so casually
I almost cringed
I faked a smile when she looked at me
After that the whole ride was silence
Hey guys again and yes I truly know that the chapters are short but like I said have patience and I will hopefully write some pretty long ones
