My eyelids fluttered open, almost like a butterfly preparing for take off, revealing my calm, chocolate brown eyes. I blinked a few times to try and clear the blurriness. After I reclaimed my eye sight, I sat up in my bed examining the white haven I call home. This was one of the only places I felt safe in. My eyes widened as I heard the screams of my mother, "PATRYK! BREAKFAST!" I began to drool as I thought about my mother's pancakes, so fluffy and sweet.
I reached the bottom of the stairs then took a left. I sat down at the table, grabbed my knife and fork then just waited for the fluffy food to be served. Soon after I sat down breakfast was served, my wings flapped with delight as the yummy treat entered my mouth. I looked around the room whilst still eating my food. My father was missing. "Mum, where's Dad?" I questioned. "He's talking to the demons outside," She replied. I looked outside and sure enough I saw my dad with the demons. They seemed to be having a nice, civilised chat, that's a surprise. I went back to eating.
After breakfast I went up to my room to read books on love between two different races. I loved how the couples lives are full of compromise and peril. I was half way through the seventeenth chapter when my mother burst unto my room, grabbing my wrist and pulling me out of the house. We ran up the mountain ,which was positioned next to our house on the clouds, something happened with dad, I knew it. I may not be the strongest angel but I sure as hell wasn't gonna let my dad die out there. I pulled away from my mother and began running. despite her cries to get me to come back.
After about five or so minutes I made it back to my house. My father and his army fighting the demon army in the front garden, he didn't notice I was back until he heard my mother cry my name out. My father stopped fighting the demon king and vice versa, for a matter of fact the whole battle stopped and turned to me and my mother, who was now behind me. "So this is the heir to the angelic throne? Maybe if I kill him now he won't cause any trouble." The demon king said as he articulated every word with venom. A sly smirk found it's way onto his face as he started to move towards me, his rust-coloured tail swinging in unison with every step he took. I tried to walk back however my mother was still there, paralysed with fear. I tried running but my mother's grip stayed strong on my shoulders.
I was practically dead already.
The distance between me and my enemy decreased every time he took a step. I am almost certain I'm going to die at this point, I was defenceless. My eyes wandered to my feet so I can't see what he chose to kill me with. The sound of footsteps stopped. I knew he was right in front of me but I never lifted my eyes, not for a second. His evil laugh made me shudder as I could feel his breath on my head.
There was a sudden pain in my scalp, then I realised that the tyrant the demons call king was pulling my hair. I tried to do something about it, but I didn't have the strength and something was stopping me from screaming out in pain. The next thing I knew I was being thrown on the ground, skidding and sliding. I gained more cuts in those ew seconds than I had through the sixteen years of me being alive. After I landed I regained my senses and began to crawl around, looking for an exit from this pain. A huge amount of weight was pressed against my back causing me to become immobilized. I couldn't move. I was vulnerable against this beast of a creature.
The weight then was took away only to be replaced with it on my arms, pinning me to the ground, however it wasn't hands on my arms it was knees that could only mean that the king's hands are going to do something to me. I felt something on my wings and fluttered them to get the thing off. "Trying to make me stop are you? Well your attempts are futile," he laughed at my desperation to get free. I felt his hand trace over the edges of my wings. "Lucifer, don't do it. Please," I heard my day yell. "To late for that Eae. I'm already warmed up," Lucifer said, I could practically hear his smirk.
I felt his grip tighten around my right wing, causing it to fold together and ache. I heard his sickening laugh again, except only this time it was followed by an intense burning pain as he pulled on my pure white Pinion. I tried to hold in my screams but soon became impossible as I felt it being detached from my body. The flesh tearing and each nerve being plucked from my back. My screaming increased as I started to thrash around, pain searing through my back as I did so. The limb was eventually detached causing me to spit out the crimson liquid being transported through my veins. I lay motionless, anyone could've thought I was dead. "M-my s-so-n!" My mother screeched. I looked at her and smiled weakly, causing her to cry and bury her head in my father's chest. The blood oozed down my face and back, staining my plain white hoodie.
The second was even worse, however I didn't thrash around this time as I didn't want to have more pain engulf my body. This time he used one of his legs to press down on my back where my previous wing was causing a burning sensation on either side. That's when the tears started to roll on to the clouds beneath me. Before I knew it both of my wings were off and Lucifer was taunting me with them. "Look at what I've got. Do you miss them? SPEAK TO ME!" He shouted as he pulled my hair and kicked my ribs.
The demons left and there was crying in a pool of my own blood. I eventually lost consciousness.
