DEAR SHERLOCK,
i knew it was all coming. and i know that it's really awful of me, not telling you at the time - but he would have known, and it all would have ended so much quicker. he would have killed me quicker. i wanted to delay my death as much as i could, so i could be with you just a little longer.
as i'm writing this, i'm about to go and meet you. if something seemed off about me on the date at the top - hell, if anything seemed off about me around that time - now you know why.
i'm scared to write the rest of these letters. i know i keep saying it, but i'm so sorry. i'm sorry for all the grief i caused you, and for anything else i may cause you when you read the other letters.
