"We're engaged!"

Silence lingered around the apartment. This was it. Either Takahiro was going to disapprove or give his acceptance to the couple. Misaki and Akihiko waited anxiously.

Manami started, "Well, no matter, we sup-"

"Wow! Congratulations! Who are the lucky ladies?!"

Takahiro's face broke into a loose grin. The engaged couple did a double take. Was he joking? How did Takahiro come up with such a half-baked statement when they clearly said they, Akihiko and Misaki, were getting married?

Takahiro's naiveté dumbfounded the entire audience. Manami practically imploded into gripping the furrows of her eyebrows. Misaki let out a mirthless laugh while Usagi dryly sighed, clearly bemused. Even though Takahiro has a child now, you would think he wouldn't be as dense. No, Takahiro is inevitably, indubitably oblivious. Misaki just wanted to pound that jovial face of his brother when his mouth babbled on and on and on about the "mysterious ladies."

This was harder than expected...
