Chapter 7

I woke up to the sounds of laughter downstairs,I entered the bathroom,brushed and spluttered some water on my face,grabbing my robe,I headed downstairs to meet baba with some tickets in his hand,"wallahi baba da ni za a je,last time it was Anisa fah,Sabreena said pouting
"Don't worry,all of you are going,she squealed as she engulfed Baba in a hug,I shook my head as I went to meet them
"Anisa Kin San Ina zamu"Sabreena asked
"No"
"Los Angeles fah"
  "Woah,I've always wanted to go there"
"Ikr",she said smiling
       Suddenly,I felt excited,like who I'm I kidding,I've always wanted to visit Hollywood and meet some of the celebrities,especially Kim Kardashian,uno to ask whether her butts are real.
     Baba cleared his throat and we all turned our gazes to him"girls, you'll be leaving the after tomorrow,which will be on Wednesday,"Anisa I've asked for permission from your school,Sabreena too"
"Okay baba"I answered as I smiled and made my way upstairs to start packing,this vaca will be lit InshaAllah.
         I  grabbed a Pierre Cardin medium-sized trolley and started stuffing my clothes,it was mostly jeans and a few tops,cause I'm definitely going to go shopping,you kidding me.who  doesn't,I was done and I made my way downstairs heading to mamas room to also meet packing her clothes and Afreen's clothes,I helped her and soon we were done
"Anisa  come and help me make lunch"
"Okay ma"I nodded as I stood up to go to the kitchen
  I decided to make Chinese rice with chicken biryani and Oreo milkshake with some cupcakes for dessert
  Mama and Sabreena came to help,I sliced the chicken and mama parboiled the rice,Sabreena kept cracking jokes and we were all laughing while making the food,it felt good to reminisce old memories

It was Wednesday,the day we were traveling,I was so excited,mama woke us up very early though our flight was not until 8:30 PM but she still insisted we wake up and get ready early,I took my bath and wore my gray sweat pants,sweatshirt and my vans canvas,I wanted to feel comfortable,grabbing my trolley,I went downstairs and met Mama,Sabreena and Afreen waiting for me,yeah only the girls,we hauled our luggage into the booth and and slide into the car,Sabreen was behind the wheels and Sabreena kept teasing him about how he will be stuck up here with Khaleefa in Nigeria
  We arrived at the airport and Sabreen helped us with our bags before bading us goodbye
Mama went to the guy and showed him our tickets and we got our bags into the Carrier as we made our way to the gates
"Flight 806,flight 806 to Los Angeles,to gate 5"
We headed toward the gate and passed the flight attendant our tickets as we went In to search for our seats

Here,by the window,we sat down and put our luggages up
A woman came in" Hey,my name is Monica,on behalf of the Cabin crew,welcome aboard,non-stop services,we will be flying at an altitude of 7000 feet at a ground speed of 110 miles per hour,please buckle up and switch of all phones,we're about to take off.she finished what she was saying and moved around to make sure everyone buckled up and switched off their phones as she tried to help some
I switched off my phone and put on the headphones as I tried to take a nap

I woke up to someone tapping  my shoulder,I looked up to see mama"Anisa tashi,buckle up,we're about to land"
Woah,I slept that long,I thought as I buckled up my belt and shut my eyes,I prefer take off,it's much better than landing.
The plane finally landed and we grabbed our bags and headed out as we fetched a cab that was to take us to the hotel that we booked near the Hollywood sign,the cab driver asked for our destination
"3461 Hollywood DR please"Mama answered as she was the one that booked the hotel
We arrived at the hotel,we took our bath and had some food and soon we were ready to start our tour.We headed out of the hotel and flagged down a cab that was to take us to Venice beach,Getty center and Hollywood sign.

We came back around 12:30 am,and man I did have fun,I totally forgot my phone,it was after I came back,i checked my phone and I had 8 missed calls from Mohammed,2 from sabreen and 6 from baba,I decided to call Mohammed first,he picked up on the first ring
Assalamualaikum habibty
Hey,how are you
I'm good,so because you're out of this town,you decided to forget us
Hahaha,I actually forgot my phone,just came back and I saw your missed calls
Ohh,just wanted to tell you that I met Baba today
What?!my baba
Yes babe
Okay,what happened?
Well,you know,I just asked if I could be seeing you you know,and seeking his blessings
You did no fucking thing,are you kidding me,with who's permission,try me and I promise to make your life a living hell,mtsew,I yelled as I fought he tears that were threatening to fall
I disconnected the call and threw my phone on the bed as I thought of what Mohammed and baba discussed,baba has been pestering me to get a suitor,he even threatened to get me married of to one of his friends,as now that this stupid guy has asked for permission,I'm sure he'll not hesitate to send me off,tears cascaded my face as the sudden realisation hit me,just minutes ago,I was having the time of my life and now this is happening
Oh ya rabb!Help me out of this predicament and make what's best for me mine.I silently prayed,I'll think about that idiot and ways to kill him later
