Confused

Chapter 6

Maddie's P.O.V.

At about 6:30 I hear a knock at the door. I open it and see Lisa there with an overnight bag in one hand and her gigantic makeup bag in the other.
She comes inside and I pull out a huge family-size bag of ruffles all dressed chips and another bag of smartfood popcorn. I also got out 2 bottles of iced tea. My favourite drink in the whole World. We sit on my couch and watch a bunch of chick flicks such as a walk to remember, pitch perfect 1 & 2 and mean girls.

At around 11, we take the half empty bags of snacks and soft drinks and head up to my room. Lisa makes me power my phone down so we can have girl talk.

"Okay. So girl to girl. Tell me what your deal is with Natalie and Dylan. Do you like him or something?"
"Well I really don't know. I don't think about him that way, but when I saw him with Natalie today my stomach dropped. I don't normally get jealous and I'm really excited for my date. But I hate that girl Natalie."
"How can you hate her? You just met her."
"Actually, I didn't just meet her...."
I told Lisa everything. How my boyfriend and I were so close and she tore us apart.
"And now it's like she's following me, tormenting me on purpose. She rubbed it in so much when I caught her with Hunter. And now she's waving Dylan right in front of me."
"Wow. She sounds awful. But I think it's possible that you might not even have feelings for Dylan. You just hate the fact that he's with Natalie because you hate her so much."
"That's true...maybe you're right."
"Of course I'm right!" She joked. Lisa is my lifesaver.
"Anyway, enough about me. What about you? Anyone you have your eye on?" I say with a smirk.
"No one special...." she stuffs a bunch of chips in her mouth.
"Lisa. I haven't known you for long, but I can tell when you're lying. Just tell me."
"Ummmmm....I don't think so..."
"Lisa. Please tell me."
We argued back and forth like this for a while.
"I think I'm falling for Jaiden" she blurted out.
"Oh my god." I cover my mouth with my hands. "When did this happen??"
"About a week ago."
"But, why? I mean, it's Jaiden."
"I don't know. There's just something about him. He's really sweet and funny. And he's cute too."
"Ewwwww!" I say between laughs.
"I think you should go for it with Jaiden."
"No way! We've been friends way too long."
"It's worth a shot."
"Maybe you're right."
"Of course I'm right!" I say, mimicking her joke from earlier.

Me and Lisa talk until 2 am. Then we both fall asleep watching The Fault In Our Stars on my laptop, with chips and popcorn littering the carpet around us.
