The first day of freshman year is always scary. Especially when you're the new kid at the new school and you don't know anybody.
I walked through the halls and saw tall pretty girls hugging tall pretty boys and girls with glasses showing off their calculators to boys with glasses. I thought it only worked like that in the movies. I was wrong.
I went to the guidance office of my new school to get my schedule. It was big and surprisingly empty. I expected it to be packed full of other new kids who had to get their schedules. I went to the lady behind the desk.
"Hi my name's Samantha McGreevy. I need to get my.. um.. my schedule. I'm new."
"Have a seat dear, Mrs. Sherlin will see you in when she's done.
I sat and waited for a few minutes until the guidance counselor finally could see me. As I walked into her office, a beautiful, tall boy walked out.
"Hey," he said.
