I stood in front of the man in the chair again. He spoke:

"I am very sorry about earlier on today, Miss Tate. My name is Crux. Ethan Crux. I am the boss, head man here at MI6. I make the rules here and if you do not take heed to them, you will be severely punished. I understand that you have experienced a lot over the past week so we will give you some leeway but remember, some mistakes are punishable by death."

Those words struck me like a match. Death? Surely that's overreacting a bit! Saying that, this is MI6.

Mr Crux spoke again:

"Did you write anything down?" He asked.

I then replied in a quiet, shy tone: in fear of saying something that will be punishable by death!

"Yes. Yes I have."

"Good good!" Ethan Crux smiled with a quick laugh. " I knew that you had heard at least something about this subject Miss Tate. Every bit of information helps!" He said with a sly grin.

And with that, he walked briskly to his computer and opened up a word document with what was supposedly what I had written. He waved a hand to dismiss me and told me that Banks- the grubby butler man- would show me to my room. ( hopefully something nice, seeing as this is MI6!)

When I stepped into the room, I was vaguely disappointed. It was a plain, simple, square white room with a single bed slap bang in the middle of it. It had a few other necessities such as a bedside table with a lamp and glass of water, a wardrobe, and a room to the left which I supposed was the ensuite.

I looked up at Banks with the expression of that of a disappointed child. Seeing my face, he spoke for the first time to me.

"This is not your room Laura. Your room is through there."

He indicated to a small cupboard in the wall and inserted a key into the lock and explained.

" Our HQ is located in a hotel and this is a guest room. We tell them that this cupboard is used just for cleaning products and is strictly used by the cleaners only and we keep it locked at all times."

I just stood there, flabbergasted! Speechless for once!

We crawled through the cupboard into another room. I nearly fainted at the sight of it!

It was a large circular room with a huge, king sized bed occupying the centre of the room, draped with red velvet curtains. A soft, red carpet and red velvet curtains added to the effect. A massive crystal chandelier swung from the almighty, white, polished, vaulted ceiling. To the left of the room, there was a white door which led to an extremely large ensuite. I had never seen an ensuite quite so huge! A shower with sensitive heat settings and beautifully tiled floor stood in the far right hand corner of the room. A gleamingly white sink and toilet sat in an inseparable pair on the left side of the room. Finally, the bath. A glistening white bath with shimmering gold feet, proudly took it's place in the centre back of the ensuite. The taps glinted and winked at you in the gentle, soft glow of the spotlights that lit the room. I was in my element here! Everything was immaculate at MI6 and I liked it like that!

Banks told me to get to bed as I had a long day ahead of my tomorrow. I wonder what lies I store for the young freshman?
