the day finally came.
the day.
ryan, who happens to make me oddly shy even though we've had one conversation, said he'd pick me up at 7. we're going to dinner, and i'm debating.
should i eat the way i usually do?
or
should i eat like a petite, pretty, prim and proper lady?
we'll see when we get there. currently though, it's 6:30, and guess who is still in sweatpants? you guessed it! me! of course. i had a gamelan, but clearly that didn't go as planned. let's review that, shall we?
1.) 5-5:30: take a shower (shave legs!)
2.) 5:30-6:00: hair (blow dry, curl)
3.) 6-6:20: makeup makeup makeup (natural, no eyeshadow/foundation !!)
4.) 6:20-6:30: get dressed
5.) 6:30-6:59: final touches (hair, makeup, outfit, CHEW GUM)yet here we are, 6:30, which is supposed to be final touches. but what am i doing? sitting in sweatpants! then i got a text.
hey, i'll be a bit late. maybe 7:30? is that good?
yeah that's good. im not quite ready yet :)
okay perfect! see ya audra!
see ya!
perfect! i have an hour to do everything. i lost an hour so things may be rushed... but it'll be okay.
hopefully.

"hey!" ryan said as i entered his (very nice, may i add) car. his smile was very bright. his dimples were showing. i'm a sucker for dimples.
"hi," i said shyly. that's how i plan on playing this. shy and cute. maybe not cute because i'm not cute, but shy.
i read many articles stating that, upon first meeting with a boy, be shy. then slowly open up.
"how have you been?" ryan asked.
"uh, good, good. and you?" i quizzed.
"i've been good. we have reservations at 66th Place," he stated.
66th Place, while owning a stupid name, is very expensive and fancy. i was a bit shocked.
"seriously? i don't have enough money!" i said quietly. ryan furrowed his brows and chucked lightly. to be completely honest, it was cute. his fluffy brown hair was lazily tossed around, and his blue eyes were shining. he really was attractive.
"don't worry about the money. i can cover it," he smiled. and his teeth! they were so white. nearly blinding, truthfully. i smiled back.
"thank you so much. i really appreciate it." he looked up to me.
"it's no problem." we stared at each other for a few seconds, eye contavt and all. there was a tension building up, and i'm not sure what it was. but the feeling didn't subside. it only got stronger, actually.
as we arrived at the restaurant, i noticed someone who wasn't supposed to be here. and so did ryan.
