Chapter 7/Waking up

(: Alexis POV :)

I open my eyes. Suddenly all the events of earlier flash before me.

"Austin." I scream.

"Alexis! Your awake."I hear a voice respond.

It was Austin. He looks relieved.

"Where am I?" I ask.

"After you passed out you went into a coma for about two days. I've been going between school and here." He responds."

He stayed here with me?

"My dad is probably worried sick."I exclaim worriedly.

"It's okay. I let him know you were at the hospital and you were doing good."

"Thank you so much... for everything."

He smiles. "Your welcome princess."

"When can I leave?" I ask him curiously.

"The doctor said that you could leave once you wake up. You are bandaged and ready."

"Okay, can we leave now?"

"Sure princess, let's get you checked out."

I blush at the name.

/: Austin POV :/

I freak out as Alexis falls asleep. I pick her up and run out of the building. Luckily, everyone is in their classes and doesn't notice, not that I would've cared.

I carry her to my car and rush to the hospital. I run through the doors and some nurses see her and rush her into a hospital bed.

I try to enter the room.

The nurse stops me. "Sir are you family of the patient."

"I'm her boyfriend and you are going to let me in now." I say angrily. It's at least a half true lie. I'm not her boyfriend but I'm her friend and I'm a guy sooooo.

"Sir. I am not allowed to let visitors that are not family in."

"Look, can you please help a guy out. My girlfriend here just got stabbed and will freak out when she awakens." I say as nicely as I can.

"I can ask the doctor." She answers.

10 minutes later*

"Okay sir, you can enter."

I walk into the room and see Alexis sleeping peacefully. I am going to kill her so called boyfriend.

It is then when I notice her face. She's makeup free and you can see the bruises. I clench my teeth.

Has he done all of this?

I would kill him with my bear hands if I could.

I look over on a table in the hospital room and see her phone. It buzzes. I go over and answer it.

"Hello?" I say.

"Hello. Where is Alexis and who are you?"The voice answers.

"First tell me who this is."

"This is her father." He says.

"Oh okay. Sir, I am her... uh friend and I found her on the ground in a classroom with a stab mark in her stomach and I rushed to the hospital. She is here and has been nursed to health. I am in the room right now and she is sleeping." I say.

"Oh my... Linda!" I hear muffled voices in the background. "Do we need to come?"

"She's doing fine right now but she might want you to visit her." I answer.

"Okay, bring her home when she's better." He says flatly before hanging up.

Her own father doesn't care if she's alright.

No wonder she doesn't open up to people.

*Two days later

"Austin!" I hear her beautiful voice.

I jump up. "Alexis, your awake!" I say relieved.

I explain what happened and I sign her out and walk her to my car. When we reach the door I'm about to open it and I feel her hand on my shoulder. I turn around and she hugs me smiling.

"Thank you." She says pulling back looking at me her hazel eyes sparkling.

A curl goes onto her face and I push it behind her ear.

"Your welcome." I whisper.

I touch her cheek, running my hand on it and lean forward. Our lips just inches apart and I hear a car honk. She jumps away wincing.

"Are you okay?" I ask worried. She nods and goes into the passenger seat.

I drive her home.

Okay so I know what you people are thinking. 'It's only the nineth chapter and they already love each other' but I'm just going to say that they aren't actually gonna be together for a while. Right now they're friends with benefits. Also, anybody wondering where Wesley is? Well, he actually is alive and one of his friends saved him.
