/: Austin POV :\

I'm walking through hell and someone backs into me and almost falls but I catch their waist.

The person flinches and looks up. It's a girl. She is absolutely gorgeous. I'm speechless. I put on my cold expression and she starts mumbling.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry um...I... uh.... running.... class....late."She blushes.

I put on a blank face and grunt coldly "Okay."

"Well... uh nice meeting you but I gotta go."She states quickly before turning.

"Wait."I snap.

She turns back around

"Huh."

"What's your name?"

"Why are you asking?"

"Because I wanna know."I say.

"Alexis."She says.
What a beautiful name.

"Austin."I state.

"Um I'll see ya later I'm kinda late to class." She exclaims quickly.

"Okay." I reply.

She walks away blushing. God she's beautiful. She has long, brown curly hair and huge, adorable green eyes.
Something about her intrigues me. I can see the pain she's hiding under her blank expression.

I know I can't have her as mine. I don't deserve her. I can hope.
----------------------------------------------(: Alexis POV :)
I walk in the classroom quietly and sit in the back. The teacher doesn't notice me thank god. I drift asleep.
I feel someone tug at my arm.

"Lex!"A voice shouts. It's Shayla.

My eyes shoot open and I jump from my seat.

"Your lucky I woke you up before Mr. Stone."she says.

"Thanks."I say before walking out of the classroom.

I walk past a few people.
"Hey Alex!"A few of them say.

I smile back at them and walk to my locker.

I pull out my chemistry book and turn around. I see Austin across the hall. I walk over to him and happily greet him. "Hi!"I say.

He looks over at me with a blank expression on his face. He does the 'sup' thing guys do with their head.
"What class do you have next?" I ask.

"Chem." He says.

"Really, same wanna walk with me?"I ask him.

"Whatever."he says coolly.

"No need to be over enthusiastic." I state sarcastically.

He does a girly voice, " Oh I would love to accompany the amazing Alexis to class." I giggle.

"That's the spirit."

We walk side by side to class and I can't help but feel safe beside him.
