I wonder if our world needs heroes anymore
Someone to stand up and bring peace
Do they need someone like me
someone who is brave enough to settle the score
or can they not remove the trees
Maybe they don't need me anymore,
I must confess, though,
IF our world has ever needed heroes,
heroes like Gideon, Samson, David,
it's now.
Our society, our homes, our families
are all being bombarded by the devil
and his schemes.
If they cannot speak because they are not brave enough,
If they won't speak because they are too strong to admit weakness,
I'll go.
My life was only given worth
because The Creator fashioned me
with His holy hands
and even though this world
calls me an orphan
until He calls me home,
I will stand in the gap.
I am not afraid of the endless tides
that seem to rise against me.
I have already lost a whole lot
and I know that my God protects me
So I will become a hero by admitting weakness
and by following Jesus.
