Flashback:

Pain.

That was the only thing that I felt. No mercy, no care, no love, no nothing was given to except for pain of course. Sometimes I would try and fight back, but as soon as my spine straightened and I opened my mouth to speak, I would be slapped.

Right now I was cringing back from my father as he whipped me with a belt that was lined with silver. Silver and wolfs bane was like kryptonite to werewolves. The only reason that I wasn't dead was because of the Alpha blood in my veins. Sometimes I would curse that, but other times I would thank the Moon Goddess for it.

Today was one of the days that I was happy for it. Now you might be wondering what happened for me to get this punishment. Well today was me and Elliot's 17th birthday. Which meant that today at 12 p.m. we would both shift into our wolves.

As I was sleeping this morning I felt water being poured on me. Now I thought that this was Elliot because we always did something like this to each other when we were younger and I thought he'd do it again. So silly old me thrashed my legs around until I heard a groan of pain. That brought satisfaction to me as I turned around and tried to go to sleep.

I closed my eyes and opened them wide as I realized that El sounded nothing like that when he was hurt. I'm pretty sure I looked like a cartoon character with how wide my eyes were. Just as I was thinking about possible ways I could somehow get laser vision and burn a hole in the ground for me to crawl in. As I was about to get up and bow my head in submission I felt someone yank my hair back. It felt as if my scalp was burning because someone had ripped a chunk of my hair out.

I winced as I got lifted off my bed and to the point where my feet weren't even touching the floor anymore. Mind you this hurt a lot because he was pulling me up from my hair, just my hair. I closed my eyes waiting for the awaiting pain. I knew this was really cowardly of me to do but I knew if I opened my eyes he would see the tears and they would give him the satisfaction for hurting me more.

When I was sure that there was no tears in my eyes I realized that I hadn't touched the floor for over thirty seconds. I was confused as to why my father hadn't hit me yet. As I opened my eyes to see if he was mind linking someone, I knew that I had made a mistake. It was too late to close my eyes again. Maybe if he hurt me enough I'd close my eyes and never open them again.

I flinched as I watched my fathers smirk grow into a smile. A murderous smile of course. He punched my jaw so hard I'm pretty sure I saw Dodo birds again. I felt my jaw snap back into place. Being a werewolf can have it's advantages. We're able to heal fast, but people with Alpha blood in them heal faster. He obviously saw that the jaw healed so he punched again in the same area, only this time he hit harder.

I tasted blood in my mouth. But he wasn't done with me yet. He kneed my stomach and let go of my hair, making me fall to the ground. I sucked in a breath as my tailbone connected to the wooden floor.

I was kicked around 2 dozen times and then I felt myself going limp and dizzy from the loss of blood. Apparently when I thought he was satisfied, I was wrong once again. He picked me up and threw me over his shoulder. I let out a yelp as his shoulder was constantly stabbing into my rib cage with every step he took.

Before I drifted into unconsciousness I looked at the time and only realized that it was 5:30 in the morning, which meant that nobody was even awake except for me and my father. If I yelled now I would be hurt even more or maybe even he would hurt my mom. I decided to save my voice. That was my last thought as I drifted into darkness.
