Willow's POV

I opened my eyes from dreamless sleep. The memories flooded back. I gripped my head as I felt tears run down my face. I sat up only to be confronted by a stabbing pain in my left wing. I looked over to see it had bandages on it. Is it broken? That's when I realized I wasn't in a room I knew.

"Scanning shows subject is awake" I yelped and kicked my body away from the person.
I saw a man with black hair and red highlights. He also wore a blue shirt with a glowing G. I bared my fangs and asked: "Who are you?" He said in an almost robotic voice "Subject is experiencing the emotion fright."

"Answer my question!" I snapped. "I am Google IRL. Known as Google. My primary objective is to answer all questions as quickly as possible. Secondary objective is to destroy mankind." Well, I guess I got an answer then. "Why am I here?"  "I found you as you fell off the roof. You are injured. Your wing is fractured. My studies show humans should not have wings. Why do you?" I looked away, not wanting to talk about my past. My father's mistakes.

He stood and left the room. Maybe to leave me alone? Good. Google IRL? I remember those things. They were so expensive, so we didn't get one. Didn't they recall them all? Deactivate them? I swung my legs over the side of the bed and pushed my feet to the floor. Before I could finish taking my first step, I fell over. The foot is still locked up. I sat back up on the bed and took off the shoe.

I started looking through the hole where I put my 'foot'. I saw a few pebbles stuck in the gears. I unlocked the front piece and removed it. I yelped as the claws auto-ejected from the toe piece. I turned off the claws and watched as blood started flowing from my wounds. I dabbed away the blood with my shirt.

I carefully picked the rocks out of the shoe, fixing some tangled springs as well. I replaced the metal piece and reconnected it. I put it back on and locked it in place. I tried again as my shoe moved correctly. I started moving silently to the door. I opened it, relieved it didn't creak. I tiptoed out the door and looked down the stairs. I took a couple steps down the stairs, just to the point to where I could see the area to the side of the stairs.

I didn't see much, but I did see a foot just to the side. I sunk my head closer to the carpet stairs and saw a man. It was Google. Wait, no. He looked much like him. He didn't have the red hair, it was blonde. I couldn't see his face. I did notice large, white wings. Is that a halo? I stepped back up again, making sure I was out of sight. I hear a door open behind me. I look behind me.

I see a kid about my age. He emerged from a door next to the room I was in. Is eyes were red and blue, but the irises were white. He had light brown, ruffled hair and wore a light green hoodie. I froze as he made eye contact with me. I ejected the claws in my boosters as a precaution. "Who are you?" He finally asked, louder than I had hoped. The man at the bottom of the stairs had heard and came up the stairs.

"Um... Google brought me..." I said quietly as the two men stared at me. "I should've known. I saw as he carried you inside. Carry on." The man with wings had kind, light blue eyes. I trusted him. The one around my age seemed trustable as well. I mean, what can a three or four year old do? I retracted the claws. "Cool! We're gonna be best friends!" He grabbed my wrist and started pulling me to the room he was in before.

As I was pulled into the room, I noticed another kid. He had black, ruffled hair. His eyes were the opposite of the other kid. The kid let go of my wrist and sat with the other one "I'm JackGlitch, you can call me JG! Everyone does. This is Glitch!" The brown haired kid introduced himself, then pointed to the other. I sat down with my legs pulled to my chest. The other kid waved. "What are those?" (I don't mean that annoying shoe thing, he is curious about what the paws are) Glitch pointed at my paws. "Um... Nothing important." "Where are your feet?" I was always pestered about this from the other kids in my daycare. Non-stop questions about them. I explained everything about them.

"But why do you wear them?" JG asked. I forgot that kids ask that. I unlocked the boots with a small click. The two stared, amazed at my... non-feet. At least they had no more questions about them. "We're playing Funky Monkey. Wanna join?" Glitch asked. (If Ya don't know what Funky Monkey is; it also called Egyptian War) I smiled and said "Yeah. Sure"
