I finished applying makeup but there was one problem. The same problem I had in the morning, which led me to wear a turtleneck in a not-so-turtleneck-appropriate-weather.

"Jungkook, I can't cover the marks with make-up" I complained.

I could hear his footsteps coming closer until he finally entered my room and looked at me, a smirk forming on his lips.

"You look gorgeous! These clothes were made for you" he sounded astonished.

I smiled at his compliment, shyly fiddling with my hands.

"What about these though" I moved my hand in a circular trail over my chest and neck, to indicate my purple painted skin.

"You need a strong concealer to hide those"

"I'm all out of concealer" I felt a cloud of misfortune covering my head.

"Look Hailey, it isn't that bad. Think of it as a way to show that you have a boyfriend" he brought his hands up and put both thumbs up.

"Speaking of boyfriend, that idiot better show up soon before I die out of concern"

"What do you mean?" Jungkook cocked his head in confusion.

Then I realized that he didn't know who my "boyfriend" was and that it wouldn't be ideal if he found out.

"Umm..." I fluttered my eyes nervously. "I uh- forgot err- something at his place when...I...visited....and I need it...back?" I shuddered endlessly.

"You're asking me if you need your something back? And why would you be so concerned about it?" he suddenly began throwing questions, which made me feel like a suspect of a murder case.

"I don't need to explain anything to you" I spat out in a harsher tone than what I had intended.

"Ouch, no need to be a snake about it" he said in defense and I gave him an apologetic look.

"Can I ask one more thing though?"

'hell no! don't ask anything, just stfu and leave me alone'
"You already went for it so go on"

Even though I had the right to just avoid his next question, it would start making things more awkward and I didn't really want that. So my whole body tensed up, hoping that I wouldn't have to throw in more lies to seem more convincing about the whole thing.

"Does your boyfriend know that you're going to hang out with me or should I be prepared to fight later? I'm not really into that" he said troubled.

I exhaled feeling enlightened with the simple question that he gave.

"He doesn't know, but he doesn't mind either" I smiled reassuringly.

"Are you sure?"

I nodded.

"Ok then" he smiled brightly. "We're leaving in 5 minutes so finish up" he announced and left the room.

I had one more look at my reflection in the oval mirror that was as tall as me.

'is it really ok to go like this?' I wondered.

When I turned around to see how I looked from the back, I saw Jungkook's reflection, who was standing by the door looking at me.

"Is something wrong?" I raised my brows and widened my eyes.

"Um...no..." he looked like he was trying to choose the correct words that fit to describe his thoughts. "Yes, actually"

I looked at him puzzled.

"Maybe I should have picked something else. Looking at you again, you're actually a big turn on and I'm sure I'm not going to be the only one with these thoughts tonight" he leaned his frame against the wall and bit his luscious red tinted bottom lip, that I suddenly had an urge to sink my teeth in as well and have a taste of.
