Now I was panicking. Definietly panicking. Out of all the places we could've gone, he picks a cemetary?!? Great, now I'm going to have to worry about passing out, and dead people becoming alive again!

Everone seemed happy. Why wouldn't they be? To them it was just an escape from a boring science lecture. For me, it was a really bad situation. I'd rather do science all day, which is a LOT to say for me considering I hate science!

I felt so sick, I needed to go home, but I couldn't. I had a very important test today, otherwise I would happily ditch class.

"Isn't this great," Lily squealed. "First we get new uniforms, and now a field trip! What could go wrong?"

Oh I could think of a few things, I thought bitterly. Why was everybody so happy? I was tired of it. I was acting dismal and grumpy and Lily still went and acted like the world revovled around her. Maybe she wasn't such a great friend.

"Um Lily, my stomach really hurts, I think I'm going to go." I didn't even give her a chance to answer as I speedwalked to the nurse. Yep, I was going home. Sorry test!

Obviously I couldn't skip school. With my mom still angry from a few weeks ago, I couldn't risk it.

I was a pretty good actor so I figured I could trick the nurse into thinking I was sick, because right now I didn't feel to far from it. I pushed open the door and walked into a small room, that was dimly lit. The old nurse sat slumped in hear chair, snoring.

"Um, excuse me?" I added a fake cough to it.

"She jolted awake, "Yes dear, what's the matter?"

I collapsed onto the small cot and groaned, "My stomach. It's killing me, and my throat. It burns," I croaked out.

She tested me for a fever, my temperture was normal, but I kept the act going, "Even though I'm not hot, I'm still aching," I moaned in fake pain.

She rubbed my back, "It's ok sweetheart, you need to rest. Do want to call your mom to tell her your coming home?"

"Oh no, that's not necessary. I didn't feel good this morining, so I told her I might come home. She already knows."

"Ok, well feel better darling." She added sincerly. The second I got out of that room, I bolted.

I got in my car, trying to decide where I should go. I definietly wasn't going home, so I decided to stop by Starbucks first to get an iced coffee. I needed caffiene. I had been depending on it, after all my sleepless nights.

I pulled into the relatively empty parking lot, and put a quarter into the meter. I pulled my warm Northface over myself as I walked into the cosy atmosphere of Starbucks. There was no one in line, so I ordered quickly and impatiently awaited my iced coffee.

The Barista gave me a mean look before saying, "Aren't you supposed to be in school?" In a very unpleasant, snotty tone.

I rolled my eyes, and grabbed my iced coffee, and walked to my car. The song "We are Young" by fun came and I started singing my head off, until it became screming, before deciding I would stop at Barnes&Nobles to look at some books.

I walked in and I immeadietley smelled books. It's a hard smell to describe, but it's one I couldn't live without. That's why I was one of my only friends who didn't have a kindle, a nook, or something electronic.

I went to the teen section and started scanning books, when I saw a boy. He had brownish blonde hair with brown eyes. He looked like he was in a good amount of sports. Definietly in high school, but I didn't think he went to mine. How would I know though? My school is huge.

"Hey, what's your name?" I asked him. I was never shy.

He looked surprised that I talked to him, "It's Aaron. Aaron Wood."

"Well, It's nice meeting you Aaron Wood," I gave him a sly smile and kept browsing.

"Wait, why are you here? Don't you have school?"

I avoided answering, "The better question is why are YOU not in school?"

"Well I have a day off. You still didn't answer my question." He pretended to look serious, and let me tell you it was hilarious.

"Ok, the truth is I wasn't prepared for a test so I faked sick and left. How mcuh trouble am I in?" I joked around. Great. Another lie from me.

"Wait. You skip school, and you deciede go to a bookstore. That's ironic."

"Hey! Don't judge me. I also went to Starbucks!"

"Wow, adventerous," he chuckled. I punched him lightly in the arm. He pretended to fall to the ground in pain, and I couldn't stop laughing. This guy was great. I barely me him five minutes ago, and I felt like we were lifelong friends. He made me forget about my situation. For a little while at least.

"Hey, well I have to go, but It was great meeting you! Also," he looked down at his feet shyly, "could i maybe have your number?"

"Of course," I gave him a genuine smile as he pulled out his phone, and I typed his number in, "I hope I see you again soon!"

He grinned, and walked out the door. Maybe life was starting to be nice to me? Ya, probably not.
