look into your eyes and the sky's the limit
**A/N: hey friends! it's been quite a while. but i want to try and get this story up and running again!! anyway, leave me some comments and votes to keep me motivated!!!**
Brooklyn was still laying there in Lucas's arms when she decided to speak up. "Do you want to have kids?"
He looked down at her, taken off guard by her question. "What?"
"Just-In the future, do you want to have kids? Like a baby or something?"
"What would the 'or something' entail? Because i don't think we're allowed to get a baby goat in the city. Those are considered livestock."
Brooklyn rolled her eyes some. "Just answer the question." She fiddled with his fingers twirling his between her own.
"I think having a kid one day would be nice." He told her. He couldn't help but smile at the thought of a mini him or Brooklyn running around and causing trouble. "Why the sudden interest? I always thought that you wanted to wait to have kids. At least until after intern year?"
"I did- I do." She said before quickly correcting herself. Lucas didn't know about the baby yet and she didn't want him to be suspicious. "I do, but I realized we'd never talked about it. And what if-what if we had a kid sooner...rather than later?"
"I mean we could do that. Wouldn't a pregnancy be pretty hard on you though? I mean intern year is a lot. Not to mention having a newborn. We'll already be sleep deprived. Do we really need more of that?"
"I don't know. Life is short isn't it?"
"Is this about the crash then? You realized life is short so now you want to have a baby?" He asked. "I mean if you really want to have a baby we can. I think it'd make more sense to wait but if you want to we can do it. Obviously not right now but soon."
"How about in... about... 7 and a half months?"
"That's oddly specific."
"Well I'm due April 27th. How's that for specific?"
Lucas looked at her. His eyes wide as he processed what she was trying to say. "No way..." He stated quietly looking at her.
Brooklyn watched as Lucas pieced the puzzle together. "Surprise." She gave a small smile.
"Yeah, I'm surprised. When did you find out?"
"About a week ago. I was going to tell you earlier but then this whole thing happened." Brooklyn explained.
"Right. Right." Lucas nodded. "A baby? Really? Us?"
Brooklyn giggled at his reaction. "A baby. Our baby." Brooklyn reached down and grabbed her purse, searching through the bag and finally pulling out the ultrasound pictures. "Six weeks. That's another thing I wanted to do with you but I already had the appointment scheduled."
"Wow." Lucas looked at the images in amazement. "We made that."
Brooklyn gave a wide smile and small giggle. "We did. I love you."
"I love you too." Lucas smile turned to a frown when he saw his mother coming through the door.
"Lucas, sweetie. You're awake." She breathed as she walked into the room.
"And you're in Seattle." He stated, obviously annoyed. His attention turned to Brooklyn. "You called her?"
"She's your mom, Lucas. I couldn't not call her. We thought you were going to die." Brooklyn defended. She knew Lucas and Caroline didn't have a very good relationship so calling her was a risky move but Brooklyn decided she deserved to know.
