Omniscient

"Dae" Vice walked into the bathroom in his boxers and saw her wrapped in a towel, sitting infront of the steamy mirror. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing. Just looking at myself before I take the pill"

"You want to break up? Cause i'm not for this bullshit. You doing all this extra shit for Omar or something? Just let a nigga know, and we can get this sorted out right now"

"Doing all of what? We just got back on good terms"

"Why you all of a sudden dressing different and hanging out all hours of the day? Wassup with that?" He balled up the paper with Omar's number on it, and was about to throw it away, but paused. "Nah, go ahead and keep it"

Daelin got off of the counter and snatched the number back. "You're annoying"

"I'm about ready to go" He turned and left the bathroom.

Daelin grabbed her phone, and called Jayvon.

"Where you been?" He asked.

"Could you pick me up?"

"I'm ready to do some stuff"

"So?"

"Aight, text me the location" Jay hung up the phone.

Daelin went back into the room, and changed into her clothes and made sure that she had the little that she came with before leaving the hotel room. "You do the same thing, Vice"

"No I don't"

She let the door slam, but he opened it right back up and walked out into the hallway.

"I don't know who you hang out with, and you're gone out all night sometimes, and during the day. I don't even know what you're doing and you have plenty of numbers in your phone"

He hissed frustratedly, but Daelin spoke over it. "Paora was right about you. You fucking selfish dummy"

The elevator down the hall opened, and Jayvon was leaned up against the wall. "Come on, Daelin"

Instead, she walked up onto Vice and swung, hitting him in the lip.

It was because she had a false sense of superiority. One of the symptoms of bipolar disorder.

Vice grabbed her hand before she could draw back.

"Aye!" Jayvon yanked his sister back and squeezed her body in between his arms until it hurt her and she was forced to go limp. "You can't beat nobody so stop. You hear me?"

He let her go when he knew she was about to cry, but she burst into tears anyway, and Jayvon led her off out of the hotel.

- days later

"I was thinking about saying something to mom and dad, but they'll force her to go home" Jayvon said, watching his sister pose with her friends on the beach.

"Well they both confirmed that they're single so that's that" Warren said.

"Aye bitch" Jayvon called over to Omar from his beach chair. Omar had just stepped away from Daelin.

"Me?" Omar asked.

"Get the fuck back. She inna relationship"

"I didn't know you were her boyf-"

"Nigga, you know who the fuck I am. I aint for the bullshit" Jayvon glared at him. "Bye"

Vice sat with Tyreek who was stirring up his cup by swirling it around in his hand. "Damn, damn, damn. Look at all these beautiful women"

"Fuck that. Which one of them tryna look good in my car?" Vice asked.

Tyreek looked at him. "You serious bro? It's been eight days"

"Yeah, and? Daelin tried to play me anyhow"

"Well shit, a quarter of the whole campus heard you then" Tyreek said.

After their separation, Paora introduced Daelin to a bunch of new guys so she wouldn't focus on her breakup.

Daelin was also on mood stabilizers, so she wasn't too affected by it.

"Nah, she off limits"

"I don't know the girl. A better looking nigga gone get her anyways" Tyreek tilted his cup back.

"Dae!" Warren called out to his sister, and she stopped doing what she was doing, and walked over.

"Am I embarrassing you?"

"Nah, not this time. Us, as the wise older brothers of Daelin, have decided that it would be in your best interest not to talk to Omar, so don't. I can just look at him and tell that I can't trust him for shit, and I don't want you caught up in that"

"I won't talk to him anymore, then. Thanks for caring"

"Off you go. And stop fucking dancing like that" Warren kicked sand up onto her legs. "You was embarrassing me then"

"You and Jay just don't know how to have fu-"

Gunshots rang out, and they could hear that it wasn't just a lone shooter.

People screamed and ran towards the water.

Others dropped down to the ground and tried to protect themselves.

The rest dropped dead. All head shots.

A bullet zoomed past Daelin's head, and both of her brothers dove to protect her, knocking her down onto the sand.

The shooters switched from shooting at those on the sand, to the ones that had gone into the water, and after eight seconds of shooting, all the guns stopped.
