Omniscient

After the shooting, Daelin moved into her brother's dorm.

It turned out that the predominantly black party was targeted because of Kyle.

Kyle was Becky's friend who got beat up by Vice's associates in the night time when Daelin was with him.

Kyle and his friends wanted revenge, and they got it.

The school sent everyone home for two weeks, and now a memorial was being built.

Jayvon had Daelin move into his room because he didn't want her to share a room with anyone that associated with Kyle.

"Aight, this is Daelin. Nobody talk to her" Jayvon and Daelin sat down at the lunch table, and Warren sat on the other side of her.

Daelin cleared her throat. "I would like to-"

"Nope. Cause you could've died the other day and I need ya right here with me" Jayvon said.

"Thanks body guard" She stated and looked up to see an unfamiliar face smiling at her.

She smiled slightly before looking down at her phone.

"No" Warren grabbed hold of Daelin's face and kissed all over it.

"Okaaaay, get the fuck back" She shoved him slightly.

"I just love my only sister, man" He wiped her cheek before kissing it again.

Daelin picked with her food, and ate the smallest amount before asking, "Can I go now?"

"Daelin, let me borrow you for a second" Vice walked her behind her.

She scowled before standing up and following Vice.

As soon as they were out of sight, he hugged her. "I feel so fuckin' bad, man. I thought I was about to watch you die" He said, letting her know that he saw the bullet fly right past her head. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. I think my brothers are more worried than I am."

"I'm sorry for accusing you of shit that I know you wouldn't do. I get jealous so fuckin' easily"

"And?"

"I can't be blowing up at you like that, and I'm sorry that it escalated the way it did"

"I already have another boyfriend" She looked at him for his reaction.

"Great" He said sarcastically.

"No, I actually don't but I guess I'll accept your apology. I won't apologize for busting your lip because I was glad I did it. Then later, my dad said that he was proud of me for it"

"You uh. . .mentioned this to your dad?"

She had no idea that Vice and her brothers were going down to visit him in a few days.

"I was angry"

"Great" Vice forced a smile onto his face.

"Two greats make a fantastic"

"So we good?"

"Yes"

"And you gone be my girlfriend again?"

"I suppose so"

"DaeDae"

She walked up to him and smiled. "Yes, sir"

Vice walked into his dorm to see Dennis sitting on his bed. "Oh, I didn't-"

"So yo lil dick ass just think you can play with my daughter's emotions?"

"No-"

"Yo balls finally drop, and you think you the shit now?" Dennis cut him off.

"No, sir"

"Then what's your problem?"

"I thought she was cheating on me, but she wasn't and we got to arguing about it, and she hit me, and we broke up"

"And and and? The next time y'all break up, y'all not getting back together. Daelin don't need no nigga to play with her" Dennis scowled. "Friends or not, Jayvon and Warren gone make sure of that"

"I'll keep that in mind, sir"

The door opened, and Daelin stepped in. "Daddy, I saw your car in visitor parking, and you didn't even tell me you were coming" She walked over to hug him.

"I was going to take you out to lunch with your mother, but I had to make sure that me and Vice saw eye to eye so that when he doesn't listen, he'll know why I shot him"

"Where's mama?"

"She went to the outlets. I'll give you some money if you want to join her" Dennis said, and pulled out his wallet.

"No, that's okay" Daelin shook her head. "Jayvon called me a nigger and said that I had enough stuff"

"Imma beat that boy's ass. I'll be back in an hour to come get you, cause that's your mama calling me now" He shoved Vice out of the way before leaving the room.

Vice turned to Daelin and ran his hand down his face. "Nerve wrecking, just nerve wrecking"

"I'm gonna go finish doing homework with Paora before I go, because I don't want to do it when I get back. We'll be out on the front lawn"
