0.6 Terrible Things

Quinn's pov-
When I finally finished setting up my classroom. I went home to see the boys all over the place. Which included Chance, Devin, Brady, Jaden, Michael, Mikey, Sergio, J-Hype, Andrew, Drew, and Marcus. Marcus noticed me and said "Quinn what's up?" "Hi boys." They all waved and Devin came over and kissed me.

He said "Me and the boys were just hanging." "Okay. If they want they can stay for dinner?" "Yeah they were planning on it." I smiled and he said "Okay come back downstairs once you get changed." "Okay." I went upstairs to go get changed from my work clothes into something more comfortable.

I put on a hoodie and a pair of leggings. I threw my hair into a messy bun and I walked downstairs. I went into the kitchen and pulled out a couple of steaks for dinner. I looked at my phone and saw I had a missed call from my mom. I re-called her and went into the hallway. She picked up right away and I said "Mom I saw you called is everything all right?"

"It's your father, the cancer came back." "Oh my god mom. Is he going to be okay?" "The doctors don't know yet but he is in the hospital right now." "Mom do you need me to fly out?" "No don't fly out until I need you too. Don't stress about your dad just worry about Devin for right now." I looked into the living room and saw them all joking around.

I pushed back the tears and said "Okay mom. If you need anything please call me. Any updates please call me." "Okay sweetie don't stress." She hung up and I slumped down the wall. I thought "How could the cancer come back." I started to tear up and I pushed them back. I heard Devin call me from the living room.

"Quinn?" I got up and looked at myself in the hallway mirror. I put on a fake smile and walked back into the kitchen. Devin saw me and said "Can you get us all waters?" "Yeah of course." I grabbed a bunch of waters and I brought them to them. They all thanked me and Devin said "Come join us." "Devin I need to put the steaks on in twenty minutes."

He pulled me onto his lap and he kissed me. I slumped back into his chest and Chance said "So how was classroom setting?" "It was good." I heard from the kitchen my phone ringing. I said "Ill be right back." I left Devin's grasp and I picked up my phone. I went back into the hallway and I said "Hello?"

"Quinn." "Oh my god hi dad. Are you okay? Is everything fine?" "Quinn relax I'm fine. I just wanted to tell you something. Quinn can I tell you a terrible thing. It seems the cancer has came back and I've only got weeks. Please don't be sad, I really believe you were the greatest thing that ever happened to me." On the phone line the heart monitor went flat.

I started to scream "DAD NO! DAD PLEASE DON'T DIE!" I started to cry and someone picked up the phone and he said "This is your dads doctor he passed I'm sorry sweetie." He hung up and I slumped against the wall and I started to sob harder. Next thing I heard was someone walking towards me. He said "Quinn are you okay?" I looked up to see Brady.

"Yeah I'm fine." I pushed back my tears with my sleeve and I went into the kitchen to continue cooking. Brady followed me and said "Quinn are you sure your okay?" "Yes I'm positive." Devin came in and said "Hey Quinn can you maybe-"As soon as he saw my eyes bloodshot from crying and me sniffling he stopped and said "Quinn are you okay." "No I'm not."

I started to sob and Devin pulled me into a hug. He was rubbing my back while I was sobbing into his shirt. Brady left the kitchen to go tell the other boys the state I was in.

A/n:
Hey y'all hope you liked this chapter. I'm so fucking exhausted from last night. I had to do cheer pics I realized I just naturally have an egg shaped face. I also realized in cheerleading when they say 20 minutes that rlly means an hour and 45 minutes. :) On another note my two guy friends who went to the live show they are staying in the hotel the boys r staying at and they met everyone.

I'm so fucking jealous.
